Common sense and a previous reviewer (thank you) indicated that attachment locations on the bike might be tricky and, sure enough ..... so I am making a bracket. Connection of the disc lock to the Abus-Bracket - wedge shaped thing - is very positive and tight, so will not rattle on the bike (once I have made my bracket) which is what I was after. SportsBike Shop had a good price and made a prompt delivery, thank you.

Good fit for the Abus granit lock, has a little spring loaded button to prevent rattle. Only issue may be difficulty in finding a suitable place to actually mount the bracket. Mine is currently on a rear footrest bracket, but that may have to move if I stump up for pannier boxes.
