AccuMate charges and maintains irregularly used batteries. With its selectable 6V or 12V output it is suitable for classic, veteran or modern motorcycles and scooters and features 'float charge' and 'standby' functions.

Simple and effective, 16 Jan 2011
The AccuMate comes complete with both crocodile clips and a hard wiring system to fit onto your battery. I chose the hardwired system and discreetly fitted the plug just below the seat but where it can easily be used without having to take the seat off. This plug is fitted with a seal-type lid so dirt etc. is kept out when the bike is being ridden. Plugged in after a ride and switched on and a few hours later checked and the battery is topped up and ready for next use. So much easier than dragging the battery out of the bike and charging it the 'old' way. The big bonus is being able to leave it on to keep the battery trickle charged. I was always worried about leaving the old type charger on and forgetting it only to come back a few days later to find a very dry and dead battery! However, the battery will have to come out every so often to check the acid/water levels. Very pleased with the product and would recommend to anyone with a bike rarely ridden.
