Great product but fitting was a problem, 14 Apr 2009
The grips are great for cold days and the two heat settings are a bonus. They are slightly bigger than my original grips but not uncomfortably so. I was very happy with their performance. Fitting proved a problem though and instructions were not helpful, suggesting that we use Contact glue. However contact glue depends on air to bond it, and there is very little gap between the bars and the grips to provide that element, so the glue didn't set. We ended up using Timebond impact glue but let it set for just 2 minutes as against the 5-10 minutes per the instructions. Any longer and the bond was too set to be able to push the grips over the bars. It was trial and error and we only achieved a good bond after several attempts with different glues. MCN were wrong when reviewing these grips as easy to fit, in my opinion and I suspect they didn't fully test the bond in their test.

A good robust set of heated grips, 22 Jan 2009
These grips were easy to fit and are easy to use, even whilst wearing bike gloves. These grips have been around for a while so hopefully they will last for many winters without fault.
