Aerodynamically superior, the XR-1000 full-face sport helmet delivers wind tunnel proven high speed performance and ventilation. A perfect fit is achieved through removable and adjustable cheek pads and 3D comfort liner system which doesn't shift during high speed riding.

Another facet of the legendary Shoei fit is the use of 3 shell sizes, and 4 sizes of EPS liners. The XR-1000 shell is of Shoei's proprietary AIM + (Advanced Integrated Matrix Plus Multi-fiber Technology), which embeds ultra strong organic fibers into fiberglass.The result is a lightweight, yet strong, outer shell that is better able to absorb and disperse the force of an impact.

Great white helmet, would recommend, 3 Jul 2008

It's light, very light, it's comfortable, snug, it's easy to put on with ear plugs in ears. Wind noise is still noticeable. Plenty of vents; the upper front two provide two jets to upper forehead, good round town but have to be closed over 80. Need anti-fog on colder days. Quality not as good as earlier helmets but perhaps weight saving is more important. Same visor mechanism though which worked well for years on previous Shoei.

This helmet has a high quality feel, is light, and is snug yet comfortable, even on the ears; it has good visibility and negligible lift at speed . I had hoped that wind noise would be less, but it is no worse than average.

This is my second in a different colour (white for better visibility). It is light, very comfortable (for shoei heads) and has great ventilation. Arrived in two days, great service from Sportsbikeshop.
