Sidi Vertigo Lady Boots - Black / Red

Great boots!

I've had my Sidi Vertigo Lei (Italian for "her" -yup, I checked!!) boots for a couple of months now and am very happy with them. I was excited to receive them and found them to be really comfortable from my very first walk around in them, although it did take a few rides to break them in. If you can't change gears easily for the first few kms in them, don't panic! I was pretty worried to be missing gears when I rode in them the first time, but stuck with it, wore them around the house for a couple of hours and did a couple of hours riding in them, and then they were fine. In terms of fit, I'm usually a 39-40 and after measuring my feet and using the size chart on the website here, I ordered a size 40, which ended up being perfect. The boots do seem to be a little roomy above the heel, but are true to size along the sole. I have broad feet, but with a little bit of mid-ride toe wiggling on day-long rides, still find my Sidi boots to be comfortable and unrestrictive. The best thing about these boots is, of course, the protection, especially for a women's boot. My bike and I went for a slide and whilst the bike was a write off, my feet and ankles were unharmed (rest of me too - thank you protective gear!). It was nice to know that if I'd chosen to get the boots back to new, I just needed to buy replacement sliders, not a whole new boot. Same goes for the other protective panels on the boots. Whilst I don't think these boots are meant to be waterproof per se, I commute in them in all weather and haven't had wet feet once, which is a bonus. They do squeak and creak a bit as I've worn them in, but it adds to their character, right? Finally, I have to say a big thanks to Sportsbikeshop for a seamless ordering and delivery process, not to mention a great price. It was fast, with good automated status updates and a personal response within hours when I emailed through a question about my order. I'd definitely buy a pair of Sidi boots again and can happily recommend Sportsbikeshop to buy them from!

The boots were of great quality, and packaged well. The website was easy to use, however there appeared to be limited availability of ladies products - for example i was looking for some Dianesse leather gloves, which aren't available. Overall a great service which I will use again.
