TCX S-Zero Waterproof Boots

I bought these as my Sidi's were a bit cold for winter! These are warm, comfy and waterproof - I've used them everyday for 2 weeks, in rain, hail and high winds. My feet have remained warm and dry and above all, comfortable. The zip is a tad stiff, but I'm being critical- it's nothing to worry about! Big bonus- these boots look sooo cool and sporty, it's hard to believe they're waterproof and so warm! Size wise - I'm a 10 normally, but went for a 10.5 (45)and with my bike socks, they fit me perfectly. Unlike my sidi boots, these don't pinch or hurt after 100 miles. If you need warm boots to keep you dry and want to look good when you're at it, get these. They are worth every penny.

I bought these to replace my old Sidi Black Rains which had served me well. I fancied something a bit more sporty than the usual plain-looking waterproof boots and these fitted the bill. The sizing is true to size - I'm a UK size 9 / EUR 43 in most shoes and boots and the EUR 43 in these TCXs fit fine, with plenty of room to wriggle my toes. They look and feel very well made but I can't vouch for how waterproof they are as I haven't tried them out in the wet yet (I mainly only use waterproof boots if I'm doing some touring - I usually wear my very bling white Sidi Vertigos the rest of the time!). The only issues I've found so far (hence the 4 rating instead of 5) is that the zipper closure on the side can be quite difficult to close if you tuck your leathers into your boots like me. I don't have particularly large calves, so if you are of more generous proportions, it may be a bit of a struggle! If you wear textile trousers instead of leathers, this shouldn't be an issue. I also found that the toes of the boots are quite a bit more chunky than my previous Sidi's, and it takes a bit more getting used to when changing gear, but it's nothing too major. Overall, I would recommend these TCX boots to others if your looking for some sporty-looking but practical waterproof boots. I only wish they did them in white!
