The Starlane Athon is a GPS based laptimer that uses the most advanced satellite technology available. The unit offers many benefits to racers and track-day enthusiasts alike. Including features like GPS speed measurement, best lap-time indicator, and best achievable lap-time, it gives you a real edge over your competition.

SAY GOODBYE TO THE PIT WALL BEACON!

The waterproof and shock-proof ABS body houses the built-in GPS receiver and antenna. It eliminates the need for a separate start/finish line beacon. The Athon can be powered by your bikes 12V battery or an optional external battery pack.

WIRELESS TRANSFER FOR DATA ANALYSIS

Couple that with wireless download for data analysis using the supplied Digirace LE software and you'll be knocking seconds off your lap times. Just press a single button on the Athon during your first lap to set up your start/finish line and up to 3 intermediates. Whenever you cross the finish line or an intermediate, the Athon will indicate the relative drive-through time and store its value. The unit can store up to 16 tracks and 999 laps in its internal memory.



INDICATION OF THE BEST ACHIEVABLE LAP TIME

By managing the intermediates, the Athon can calculate the time the rider can ideally achieve for each session. This is obtained by adding together the best sectorial times. This will help you understand the lap time you might have achieved if there had been no traffic at a specific point on the track or if you had done a lap with each sector matching your best time.

DOUBLE FUNCTION "BEST LAP" LED INDICATOR

The "BEST LAP" LED will turn on if you have improved your previous lap and it will blink if the lap you have just completed is the best of the session. This solution will supply the rider with all the information necessary for performance without any distraction. If you have set up intermediate finish lines, the LED is also enabled whenever you cross an intermediate. This means that this instrument is extremely useful to realise without any distraction whether you are improving compared to the same intermediate time of the previous lap or whether you have just accomplished the best intermediate time of the session.

SUPPLIED WITH DIGIRACE-LE SOFTWARE

The DigiRace-LE software supplied with the Athon can file, analyse and print the data acquired and graphically represent the paths you have ridden across with the relative acceleration and deceleration points for a lap-by-lap comparison. It's by having this information at your fingertips that you can really see where improvements in your performance can be made, possibly making the difference between winning and loosing!

999-LAP MEMORY WITH AUTOMATIC MANAGEMENT OF 99 TEST SESSIONS

The Starlane Athon will automatically create a new session whenever you access the track. This means that you can analyse the times you have stored during the various sessions even at the end of the day without having to delete old sessions from memory. You can store the date and time of every session as well as the total time, the intermediates, the maximum speed, and the maximum engine revolutions for every single lap.

ENGINE SPEED INDICATOR WITH SETTABLE LED BAR AND SHIFT LIGHT

The Athon is not only a chronometer and tachometer, but also an engine speed indicator. You can set the power-on engine speed of the LED bar, which will gradually turn on up to the shift engine speed set by the user and signalled by the 3 high-power blue LED's of the Shift Light. You can also display the speed. The engine speed can be measured by arranging the inductive cable in the proximity of an ignition coil or by connecting the signal wire to the original speed indicator.

ENGAGED GEAR INDICATOR AND WATER TEMPERATURE WITH SETTABLE ALARM

The Athon GPS-RW can also indicate the engaged gear by calculating the ratio between the engine revolutions and the wheel speed. It can also indicate the water temperature by means of an optional temperature sensor.
