Works, but only on some bikes., 4 May 2009
I used this on my girlfriends ER6, and it did a decent job, although I still had to give it some more attention with a toothbrush and a rinse down. Once your chain's fairly clean, using this regularly will keep it in good nick pretty easily and quickly. However, I found it didn't work on my own bikes. On my RSV the housing is jammed against the tyre when you line it up with the chain, so you can't spin the wheel. And on my Triumph Sprint, there just doesn't seem to be enough room around the single sided swingarm to fit the thing anywhere. It might work if you remove the toe-guard, but if I have so start removing bits of bodywork then I'll just stick the manual method of using a toothbrush and a rag. I bought the premium because it comes with different brush sizes to suit all of our bikes, so had I known it wouldn't work on 2 of them I would have bought the standard version. Make sure you have plenty of room around the bottom of the chain before you buy one of these!

Great bit-of-kit. Have recommended it to my mates. It's a bit messy and time consuming cleaning after after use. I've got 4 tips on using this:- 1:- Only put 75 ml of cleaning fluid in the the bottle to clean the chain one way, then put another 75 ml of cleaning fluid to clean the chain the other way. (Because, otherwise, you'll use alot more cleaning fluid than you need to.) 2:- After cleaning the chain, go round it with a clean rag, if the chain's NOT been cleaned for a long while. 3:- After cleaning, DON'T put the chain lubricant straight on the chain, leave it for 5-15 minutes. 4:- After lubricanting the chain, DON'T ride the bike for at least half an hour, even better over night. This give time for the lubricant the penetrate the chain. I've used it twice now, on two diferent bikes, and found it easyier and quicker using it the second time.

Fiddly, but does the job well!!, 12 Apr 2009
I used this for the first time today after a recommendation from a friend. Although a little fiddly to use, it did a very good job of cleaning the chain. I don't think this will 100% replace my normal chain cleaning and lubing, but I believe using it once every 1000 miles to give my chain a really good clean will help as this reaches parts of the chain that my normal maintenance does not.
