  Great disc lock, good chain, but a little short., 6 Sep 2011

Disk lock is brilliant, fits my disc nicely (125 Dragstar) locks like a mean piece of kit for anyone who would think about braking it off. Chain is very heavy and durable if a little short, means parking very very close to objects to chain against, but good enough to lock up your back wheel to your frame. Im guessing with the loop thing it would be a lot easier to use the chain but I've not yet had cause to use it with the disc lock as I've got an alarm lock I use with then chain seperately.

Feels solid, disc lock small and light enough to carry around luggage, good that you get the flexibility to use with/without the chain. Bright yellow reminder cable is great too.

Very well made chain and excellent protection with the outer material cover. Use the disc lock all the time and its very well made and fits through the Ducati disc in a number of postions. all in all a very good bit of kit.

The disc lock is too big for my bike, unfortunately, but the chain is still useful just using the disc lock as the lock. It's very heavy, so one for keeping at home (or taking to work once and leaving there) rather than carrying as an everyday use type chain. I actually had my bike stolen just before I got this chain (but luckily got it back with only £250 damage), and the next day after I got the bike back I had this chain on it and I went to check on my bike and the cover had been lifted up so clearly the thieves came back to try again but were deterred from even trying to break this chain and lock!

Small enough to get under seat, yet assured for security. The lock shank is short so needs a bit of fiddling to get both chain end on the lock when it is also through the disc. The chain is just long enough to get around a lamppost, but need to get really close to do that. A bit pricey, but in line with other similar devices.

This is an extremely useful lock, it fits easily under the seat of my CBR600F and its design makes it easy to attach the bike to lamp posts or other immovable object - key to not having your bike stolen. Forget alarms, they are a waste of time, money and battery life. Hopefully the lock is a good enough deterant but at this stage I'm not sure how tough it will be against a huge pair of bolt croppers.

Major beefy lock that will fit in my 2001 SV650S seat box, and can be carried in a rucksack with no real problems. Long enough to secure to your average lampost or Partner's VW Golf alloy wheel. The Disk lock is very sturdy, but the locking bolt diameter is quite large and so it will only fit in the larger apertures of the disk mounting - might be a risk as this bit of the wheel is not the strongest. Disk Lock can be used independently, but flaps around a bit when the chain link is not in the 'loop'. Even so, this is a major deterrent AND will get you a discount on your Insurance. Very pleased.

A good deterant, but you will need a topbox, or a very tough rucksack, and your spinal column will also need to be as strong as a lorry spring. Worth what I paid for it. Make sure it will fit your disc, as the spindle is very thick and won't fit through small holes. The service / delivery from this supplier is excellent and I will use them again.

This is something i think everyone should own it is a very good deterent just from the look of it and the fact that it goes through the disc and the wheel means that the effort to get this off would take alot it is very easy to use and makes my feel very safe about my bike knowing that this is on there. it is very heavy and well made and knowing that it cant be cut off or sawn through or even drilled adds to a very peaceful mind about the saftey of my bike would recommend to anyone and a good price for what you get well worth it.

This is a very secure feeling lock and chain, made by a reliable brand, and is approved by insurance companies so gets you a little discount there too. As home security its excellent, without a topbox to transport it though, I'd say its too heavy and chunky to lug around. The chain loop is a good size, not too much chain which is what makes it good to transport in a box I think, the main lock is robust and the key has a blue LED light and I had a reminder strap included which is very useful not only to remind you your chain is on, but it also draws the eye of any would be theives to the fact you have this fitted. All in all I expect this item to last me a long time, keep my bike uber secure, and from the build quality I don't expect it to disappoint me!

This is a good combination product. The disc lock is solid and easy to use, and the key comes with a built in led light for those dark nights. The chain is heavy but flexible and easy to handle; its weight means it is not ideal for lugging around with you, though in a top box or similar it would be fine. The lock also comes with a yellw plastic lanyard to remind you the disc lock is fitted, which is a nice extra. I've not found anything else since purchasing this which I'd rather have.

I have had motorcycle chains in the past and they dont even get close to how secure this makes you feel. If they can get this off your bike they deserve it. Only down size is the weight but this is what it takes to protect our babies these days.
