Customer Reviews for Pinlock Ear Plugs
Don't usually wear ear plugs, but found these the best that I have tried. The noise level was reduced to a comfortable level, without affecting safety.Read more
Pinlock ear plugs
Bought these as all others I tried were so quiet when riding I felt a bit isolated from bike. These were fantastic I hear most things cars, other bikes and what my bike is doing, and the wind noise is a whisper with both helmets full and open face. Not tried with my intercom yet. The smaller plug I tried but had to get them pulled out by wifey with tweezers.Read more
Previously had a set of these that I got for free with a helmet so when they were lost I felt like I needed a new pair. I find that they fit my ears well and block enough wind noise to make riding comfortable. Because of the filters it means that you can hear people speaking better than with normal foam ear plugs as well. Don't buy them for the 'special' case, it's just some molded polystyrene. Some reviews have said they don't fit their ears but I haven't personally found that to be the case and I like that they don't press against my helmet at all once it's on so don't cause pressure points.Read more
Waste of money.
These made no difference to me whilst riding i had to stop and check they were in my ears. Look at other brands if you want protection.Read more
Look at other brands for quality and value
Poor quality case a real disappointment. I didn't realise how important this was at the time, but compared to another, cheaper product it's quite poor value for money. The smaller tips must be for children and of no benefit. I bought a fantastic alternative product elsewhere so my advice is keep looking.Read more
Mixed feelings, mostly good
Good points: - 2 different sizes - Good noise reduction - Good solid seal once the right size is fitted Bad points: - The "unique case" is nothing more than a piece of carved polystyrene - This may be more to do with my ears, but I found the large size to be slightly too big, bordering on uncomfortable, and the smaller size slightly too small, and not providing the same level of noise reduction. For this reason, I've had to stick with the larger size, which are OK for shorter rides and commuting, but for longer trips I'll probably stick with disposables. Overall though, would recommend.Read more
Not much wind protection
Easy to fit and clean but don't seem to reduce much wind noise. I'd look elsewhere and save your cash to be honest.Read more
Didn't work for me.
Very fiddly and if you don't put them in with the tab away from the lobe very difficult to get out. They did not block any noise, standard plugs worked much better for me.Read more
Qiute a bit of wind noise
Bought these to see if more comfortable than foam plugs. They are, however, noise isolation not so good. Quite a bit of "wind noise" which is a shame. Small size must be for children unless I have large ear holes!!Read more
Really fiddly to put in, that might be just me but when they are in place they block out about 90% of sound, far superior to standard foam plugs? As I say just a pain to get in!Read more

Visors have been fogging up as long as we have been riding motorbikes. People have tried everything in all those years from soap suds to potatoes and even spit, but nothing provided a solution to have a fully fog free shield under the different conditions that a motorbike rider needs to cope with. Until Derek Arnold, an importer of motorbike helmets, had a flash of inspiration. His idea consisted of applying the double shield principle. An insert made of moisture-absorbing material was secured to the shield with pins, which ensured that an 'air-tight chamber' was created. Pinlock's mission is transparent and clear; to continue to innovate with new materials and ideas. On the one hand, this will take place by setting up a line of high-quality products under its own label. On the other hand, by producing customised solutions for Pinlock's partners who are highly valued.See all Pinlock products…
Questions and Answers
Would the Pinlock ear plug stick out of the ear and cause a problem when fitting a full face helmet on, and get pulled out.March 26, 2019
I wear the Pinlock ear plugs myself, and have no issues. They seem to fit further in the ear than the foam style ear plugs.
