Customer Reviews for Gerbing 12V XR-12 Hybrid Gloves - Black
From Bham to lake district in March for 4 days, used the heat for the journey up there and kept my hands nice and toasty. The rest of the trip didn't even need the gloves switched on. The 1st day it rained my hands were dry nice and warm still without the heat, great gloves.Read more
Build quality is excellent and the gloves keep your hands warm even without being on. The material inside is really good.Read more
Great for winter and heavy rain
Really really worm gloves, unless you ride on snow in -10 you won't be able to stand the heat of the highest setting. They are a bid bulky and thick but you expect that from winter gloves. I ride daily from Southend-On-Sea to London and with these I don't feel cold because the gloves warm up my hands. And they are 100% waterproof.Read more

A must for Winter
I ride 100 miles a day in all weathers and if I had to have 1 item as a must these would be them. They generate an all over warmth without getting uncomfortably hot, very weatherproof and decent length to protect totally from the elements. Thoroughly recommended.Read more
Comfy, warm, very weatherproof
Brilliant pair of gloves. I had heated grips for a long time but the backs of my hands and fingers would get frozen from the wind. The heating elements in these gloves run all the way down along your fingers so they don't go cold. They've survived relentless Irish weather and have stayed dry in all cases. Very comfortable gloves and the visor squeegee is an added plus. They're quite chunky which is to be expected with winter gloves. Unfortunately I have small hands and didn't have the chance to swap the first size I got before I had to wear them so be sure to order the exact size for your hands. Bit pricey but an absolute game changer for warm hands.Read more

Great bit of kit
Don't know how I've ridden all these years without heated gloves! Been rising in -3 and the hands are lovely and toasty! They are big gloves but they blow heated grips out of the water! Really easy to connect to the bike but the batteries are really simple! Couldn't recommend enough!Read more
So much better than frozen fingers
These gloves are by necessity quite thick and bulky or they wouldn't retain any heat, but this makes them a little tricky to use the first few times - you end up with much bigger hands which makes throttle & front brake control trickier. However, this is a small price to pay to keep the blood flowing in your fingers. I can go for a ride on the coldest days & know I can ride safely. The only thing I can complain about is the thumbs get uncomfortably hot on the highest setting. However, you hardly ever need the highest setting. Keeping the gloves on a medium setting and your heated grips on low, gives you lovely warm comfortable hands all day. The wiring kit is dead easy to fit & takes about 5 minutes. Wish I'd bought these years ago!Read more
Very happy with these gloves. Finally I don't get freeze my fingers anymore. Really worth the money and appear to me made of high quality. Thanks!Read more

Questions and Answers
Wot length of cable comes with the gloves I ride a bow r 1200 gas and the power point is to the rear side of the seatFebruary 20, 2018
The battery cable is approximately 95cm long and the Y-Lead is approximately 150cm long.
Hi, if wired up you need the supplied heat regulator. If using lithium batteries, how do you control the temperature? I also have a cigarette lighter socket in the handlebars, but am struggling to picture how to connect the gloves safely without loose wire or limiting hand movement. Are you still supposed to go through the jacket rather than straight out at the cuff? Am I over thinking it?January 19, 2018
Each battery has a built-in temperature controller with 3 different settings. Red is 100% heat output, Orange is 66% heat output and yellow is 33% heat output. The gloves can be connected to a cigarette lighter, but we would not recommend it, as you say there will be wiring to tuck away somewhere. The cigarette lighter attachment would need to go into the controller.
My Triumph Sprint GT has a 12V DIN Accessory connector. Can I connect the gloves to to this?November 30, 2017
Yes, but you will need to use the Gerbing 12V BMW / Hella Plug. This can be used for a normal cigarette lighter style socket or the smaller DIN socket.
As these are hybrid gloves do they come supplied with batteries? Also for sizing. On the Gerbing website it says 21-23cm is a large, but on yours it says it is a medium. Which is correct? ThanksNovember 29, 2017
The B12V-1400 hybrid batteries are not included. You require the Gerbing 12v battery kit dual. Most customers find that if they purchase the same size gloves as they already have (using our size guide) the fit is good.
Do the gloves come with Gerbing 12V Junior Temperature Controller included? I assume that is the case (picture of the item) but it doesn't really say in the specification.November 20, 2017
We can confirm that the gloves are supplied with a junior controller.
Is there any way on linking these gloves to the Keis J501 Premiun Heated Jacket via an adaptor?November 6, 2017
Unfortunately we are not aware of an adapter that will do this, sorry. The plugs on the different manufacturers are all different.
