Great value helmet
So I needed to replace the visor on an old caberg helmet, to upgrade to a pin lock visor would be £60. So I thought I would see what helmet I could get for that sort of money. My criteria was pin lock visor and insert plus integrated sun visor. First of all I wasn't sure about the brand, not having heard of it before. But this really is a top quality built helmet. I've been using it commuting for 2 weeks now without any immediate issues. My head measures 56cm so I bought a medium. It was a snug fit, not tight, to start with but is now very comfortable. Pin lock system works brilliantly. Visor comes off quite easily to fit it. The sun visor is operated with a switch on the left bottom side of the helmet. This can be a bit fiddly with the gloves on but does work fine. The actual sun visor isn't massively tinted, it is enough but on a bright day I would properly wear sunglasses as well. Multiple vents provide brilliant ventilation. The build quality, padding and stitching looks and feels like it's from a much more expensive helmet. Reflective stickers are provided with helmet to add on. As per usual sportsbikeshop delivered and packaged to a very high standard. Overall, well worth the money.Read more
Wow what a surprise.
My wife has now become interested on taking a ride on my bike so got her this helmet. Comparing it to my shark the Dexter I'd pretty much the same quality the liner is velvet plush and has perfect deep cut outs for Bluetooth intercom. The vents are nice and big and vent like a top helmet and on the plus side it come with pinlock antifog insert. My wife is in-between two size X's and s so went for small and it fits nice and tight. For €70 I am impressed fab piece of kit.Read more
Ignore the price, this is a good helmet
Really impressed with this helmet. I've held off doing a review until I've used it for a while, and it is very comfy even after several hours. Sizing is consistent with Premier and Schuberth. Really like the sunvisor, vents seem to function well in the heat. Haven't had any cold weather to really test the pinlock insert effectiveness yet. The open ear areas, ready for a coms system, means that the wind noise is obvious. No worse than the Schuberth, and much quieter than the Arai. Ear plugs or in-ear phones solve this, as with other helmets. The helmet is light and the aerodynamics are good so there is very little buffeting or torque when you turn your head. The visor is easy to use, with fine adjustment, but won't stay open on the smallest settings at decent speeds, it blows shut. So far not an issue as the venting is so good that riding with it shut, even through London traffic, has been OK. I like the chinstrap clip system, really easy to use in gloves. My only gripe is that the system doesn't include a loop that will fit over the helmet storage clip on my bike, so I have to carry the helmet when on the ferry, for example. Build and material quality is excellent. A couple of inserts have plastic edges you can feel as you carry the helmet, but nothing that contacts your head. I've had Laser, Arai, Premier (3), and Shuberth helmets before, and this is as good or better than any of the others, for half or a quarter of the price.Read more
