Customer Reviews for Gerbing 12V Heated Socks - Black
HOT! HOT! HOT!
Godverdomme these things are HOT! I connected them directly to the battery and was unable to adjust the temperature, you do need a junior controller or the like. Shame one isn't include like they apparently are in the gloves. I'm border line M/L and because Sportsbikeshop offer free returns (thumbs up) I orderd both. Glad I did medium would of been too constricting. I use them for flying too and they're perfect once the control issue is solved. They're quite warm switched off and the build quality seems good. Not sure how comfortable they would be for walking around in all day... time will tell. If you can afford them and suffer from cold feet or like the idea of toasty toes, get some would be my advice.Read more
Snug at last.
Work well, totally eliminating that creeping chill that stars at the end of the toes. Cable is a bit of a faff but I've now sewn it to a pair of long johns which makes life easier.Read more
Goodbye frozen feet
Excellent for keeping feet lovely and toasty. Definitely need a heat controller. Just on setting 2 I find they are perfect, setting 5 is too hot. The wires are a bit of a faff at first but once sorted they are not uncomfortable, and you soon get used to putting them on. Highly recommended.Read more
Amazing heated socks
They arrived promptly and keep my feet nice and warm on those below zero mornings. I've had inner gloves for a while but wasn't sure about the socks but they are brilliant. Really recommend them.Read more
Can't live without them
They are warm the snuggle you toes on those cold winter rides I did have the exchange them as the seam on the elastic went and they are best used with the temp controller but what a joy having warm feet worth every peeing of the price I would buy again. As for Sportsbikeshop the customer service is second to non and when you return they keep you up to date with the process and are quick to refund. I use them time and again, I rate them 5 stars.Read more
I love these socks. My feet are warm and I don't notice the cold on my winter commute. I have the heated gloves and only use the second setting. This has made all the difference when riding in minus temperatures. Only reason for 4 stars is the stitching has frayed on the elastic support. I will be getting them repaired under the warranty when the weather warms so I doubt it will be an issue.Read more
Well worth buying
Fantastic socks, well worth buying them. Do need a controller for them though as they do get very hot and I find that they warm your legs up as well. You don't feel the wires if you get them on the correct side of your legs.Read more
Good but fiddly
Last winter my feet were like big ice cubes at the end of long rides. I couldn't face putting myself through that again, so as this winter approaches, I forked out for some hot-socks. The heating elements are only on the foot part, they don't heat up the leg part of the sock. You'll need the heated trouser liners for that. They do NOT come with a controller, you'll have to buy one of those separately and using them without one would be horrible, as they do get very hot. My only slight grumble is, that they are a bit fiddly and the wires are cumbersome and bulky, but it is to be expected. All in all, I do recommend.Read more
For foot warmth this is the only product you should consider. I have purchased various products to warm my feet and this is the only solution that performs which is available on the market.Read more

Questions and Answers
Hi, if you plug the heated socks into the connection at the bottom of the heated trousers, will the temperature be regulated by the the temperature control for the trousers or will the socks just go to full heat setting unless you use a separate controller for the socks. Hope that makes sense.January 21, 2019
We can confirm that gloves, trousers and socks will all run at the same temperature setting. You will need to use an independent controller for each garment if required.
My toes get cold, do they heat around the toes or just the sole of the foot?December 12, 2018
The heating elements are strategically placed on both the top and the bottom of the foot, which completely surrounds your feet with heat.
How do you wash them? I see they recommend a sock underneath for hygiene reasons, but warm wet feet are a recipe for pungent socks.October 22, 2018
Gerbing recommend that the socks are hand washed using a mild liquid detergent, and left to dry naturally in an airing cupboard.
Hi How long does the battery last, and the temperature it provides? ThanksMay 14, 2018

I have been advised to get the junior controller with the socks for use in my glider. The junior controller says not to use with the socks can you advise please I want to be able to control the heat.March 2, 2018
The junior controller is fine for use with 12 volt gloves and socks. It cannot be used with any other Gerbing clothing items. The website has now been amended, apologies for any confusion.
Does these use the same charging systems as the 12v XR 12 hybrid gloves, as a friend is going on a year long biking adventure and some has got him the glovesJanuary 3, 2018
The socks can be hooked directly to the battery of your motorcycle using the supplied battery harness and Y- lead, or via the Gerbing trouser liner using the plugs situated at the ends of the legs. It is also possible to connect the heated socks through the supplied Y-lead to the accessory plug of the jacket liner (if used).
