Customer Reviews for Roof Boxer V8 Bond - Matt Titanium / Black
Coolest out there by far
Fancied a change after 15 years with Arai's. This caught my eye for obvious reasons. I went for the Matt Titanium Black and Silver Visor. Together they look the mutts. I read a few conflicting reviews about the fit, but it fitted me perfectly going on the size guide, and it's very comfortable to boot. After 3 months riding, only issue I would have to raise is the noise, but no noisier than my Arai's, earplugs sort that. Visor operation is easy enough once you get used to having the 'button' at the top. Point to note here, the Silver Visor will fog up when stationary, I have yet to find a Anti Fog that fits due to its close proximity to the seal during open and closing. You'll have to have the flip front fully open to get it on and off, not much of an issue, and the flip operation takes a bit to get used to it if you've never used one before, it becomes second nature soon enough. Buckle requires a positive touch, (big fingers), not necessarily a bad thing of course, but secured it's faultless. So far construction and quality seem superb, just make sure you register the lid with Roof.fr for the extended warranty of 4 years. Overall, very pleased, and it looks cool as with a Union Jack Buff when riding flipped open.

I have always wanted a roof helmet I looked around but got it from sports bike shop good price good service from them. All I can say is its a very good helmet and very comfortable. Not tried it in the rain yet but when I do I will write and post a new review.

This is my second Roof Boxer, I had one of the first models years ago. They must have definitely listened to the feed back as all the problems I had first time round are gone. The biggest problem being the chin bar fasteners. They used to be a popper that always snapped meaning the whole chin had to be replaced. Now they are push to release. It's still quite a noisy helmet for wind, but with earplugs it's not an issue. Most importantly, it looks awesome.

OK lets be honest about the Roof Boxer V8, This helmet is mostly about the look which is fantastic and when paired with the mirrored visor looks totally si-fi. On the plus side it is very comfortable to wear with a good fit. The shell and materials feel really high quality and the finish is excellent. On the minus side it's not the quietest helmet and I use ear plugs when riding any distance. The chin bar closure can be a bit fiddly and the snap fasting needs to be correctly aligned to lock into place. Also visors are OK to change but not quick & requires a screw driver. I really enjoy the Boxer's flexibility to have it open or closed. I must say that this is used as my 2nd helmet for nice sunny days when you fancy a bit more of a relaxed ride. Great for riding around town with the chin bar back and I like that it can be down for for more brisk journeys. The venting is OK but can allow insect debris and other particles to pass occasionally. Overall this is a really good product for what I want, but if you're looking at this as an all year round all weather helmet then you might want to think carefully before buying. I love the aggressive streefighter styling and am very happy with the product.

Always wanted a Roof helmet. The quality is superb, feeling, materials excellent, even helmet bag is good quality(Desmo has better bag). One thing annoys me is the belt release - you can forget to open in while wearing gloves. AVG helmets have string to pull, this one has slide mechanism, for small finger tips..

Looks great & is well made. Two sizes smaller than my last helmet but well padded. Can't say about wind noise etc as was nicked & put away for Xmas.

I wanted a flip front lid, something slightly different to the usual ones out there. I saw this one and loved the look of it. It's probably best to try one on before purchasing if you can, as the fit can be smug if you haven't the correct shaped head. I usually wear Aria helmets, and it fitted me perfectly. It does get noisy though, and the flip front bit takes a bit of time getting used to, so that why it's not got Excellent rating. The visor is brilliant, live the slightly silvery look to it. All in all, I'm really pleased with this lid.

I have worn a Roof Desmo for the last two years and thought the Boxer would be similar. Not so! It's totally different, way better quality, great fit with superb optics, lighter, better looking. What's not to like!

Hi. I currently wear a 7-71/8 (57) Arai chaser. Before that I had a Suomy size 57/58 S/M. What size roof helmet do you recommend? I see they make a 57 and a 58, are they standard sizes or are Roofs made smaller than Arai helmets?
