Extremely Disappointing

The service and support from SportsBikeShop has been fantastic. The heated vest however is very poor. On arrival I reported a potential problem directly to Gerbing as the vest was not heating very well. They advised me to plug the vest in directly and cut out the controller. The unit was warmer but not brilliant then I noticed that my back had been burnt. I immediately contacted Gerbing who have still not responded after 4days. SportsBikeShop responded immediately and offered immediately to take the product back. All I can assume is that Gerbing does not care that it's injured a customer which is why I would recommend you try another make but definitely buy it from SportsBikeShop.

Really nice piece of kit.

Rated good as I haven't had chance to test the heat settings on the bike yet as it is Summer but a test done in the house shows it really does warm you, even on the lower setting. Once worn under a bike jacket, it should be really 'toasty'. The vest itself has a quality feel to it. I ordered a medium as recommended for my chest size which is 38.5" (I am fairly slight build and 5' 7" tall) but swapped it for the small which fits really well without being overly close fitting. The medium was pretty loose. Can't comment on battery life yet but would recommend buying the highest output you can afford judging by others comments about their battery packs not lasting as long as stated. Batteries are dear though, I'm hoping you get what you pay for.

Great item for cold days on the bike

I bought this and used it on my first run out this year. I'm a size 12 and bought the smallest available. It is perfect fit across my shoulders but just slightly big around the waist but it still fits under my RST Goretex jacket no bother. It's easy to use, connects to the bike easy enough and when used with the temp controller which you buy separately, is great for cold days out on the bike. The 1st two settings were plenty to keep me warm for the 165 miles I did on the bike that day in around 6-7 deg temp. It looks great too with the red trim. I would definitely recommend this for anyone.

Warm and snug at 0 degrees

I made a 45 minute journey of 35 miles with temperatures between 0C and 2C running the vest from their 8AH battery and set to the middle power setting. My core was warm and snug but interestingly my hands and feet were also warm. I was wearing thermals, jumper, lined jacket and outer rain suit as well.

Great product - Super warm

For my other half, she always runs cold! Now we can ride for hours and she's toasty warm! 100% worth the money and great function!
