Customer Reviews for Dainese Tempest D-Dry Long Glove - Black / Yellow Fluo

Dainese Tempest D-Dry Long Glove - Black / Yellow Fluo

Jury's still out

I am not entirely convinced about these, though I think they are good gloves. On the plus side they are really well put together and a smart design, as you always get with Dainese. Have only worn them in light rain but my hand stayed dry over an hour's ride. I also really like the high-vis accents. On the downside I am disappointed with the limited protection, though this may just be the impression that they give as they are so lightweight. My biggest issue though is the visor wipe on the thumb, which makes the glove quite uncomfortable. I am hoping that will improve with wear.

Awesome gloves

I have both the short cuff and long cuff versions of these. They're warm soft dry and not overly bulky allowing me to retain feel on the controls. This long cuff version is really an under jacket type which is my preference. The quality is great and the fit us a bit long in the finger but going down to a Small from my usually Medium fixed that.

Very good

I was concerned about how well they'd fit because I have weirdly small hands. Having received them and been riding in them for the past month, I can say the fit couldn't be better for me. They're quite warm without being too thick / bulky. Naturally, going any real distance when the weather is less than 5 degrees out, you are going to get cold hands (unless you have heated grips). Have worn them in the rain and snow - my hands remained dry. Having only been riding for three and a half months, I just recently (a month ago) upgraded from cheap crappy Trik Moto stuff to fully kitted out in Dainese. My old Trik Moto gloves had a hole in the side of one finger (from repeatedly getting stuck to Velcro, which makes you wonder how it would fare if you slide along the road in them) and the Velcro wrist fastening on the left glove had separated from the glove when I went to undo it one day. They were perhaps six weeks old. The quality of these gloves feels reassuring, as you'd expect if you've had Dainese gear before.

Comfortably gloved

What incredible comfort, knuckle protector and in my opinion, all gloves should have this, the wiper on the thumb, integral aid! Hi Viz flashes for extra, BE SEEN, safety! Dainese, you have excelled yourself, will definitely endorse these gloves, keep up your excellent work!

Good but not too insulated

Good product, not too bulky (which is great for allowing good control and reach of all the various switches, start key, etc.) but at the same time the insulation is not excellent. Below 5 degrees the tip of my fingers start feeling cold after just a 15-20mins city drive. The wiper is only on the left hand glove, it tends to force the thumb in straight position, which is kind of unnatural when riding a the bike, nevertheless you get used shortly. The smart touch fingertip works OK and useful.

In 1972 Mr Lino Dainese made some leather motocross trousers, starting a biking brand that has since brought style and innovation to motorcyclists the world over. Working with some of the most evocative names in motorcycle racing, Dainese led the way in the development of leather stretch panels, knee sliders and race suits- cut to suit the rider in a real world riding position. The 80's brought back protectors (with Barry Sheene), composite armour, and more aerodynamic suits; whilst the 90's brought gloves with knuckle armour and the first biking airbag system. Dainese remains at the forefront of motorcycle clothing technology and continues to be the brand of choice for the biggest names in bike racing, all the way up to the greatest rider of all time, Valentino Rossi. Today, Dainese is one of the most recognisable, coolest, and most aspirational motorcycle brands on the planet. With a well deserved reputation for safety that has crossed over into nearly every extreme sport there is, the name Dainese is synonymous with style, protection, comfort and durability.
