Scorpion ADX-1 - Pearl White

I really like this helmet. One size up seems to be the secret to a good fit. Very positive locking and visor arrangement. Good vision.
I find it much better than the uncomfortable Schuberth that it has replaced.

Helmet is a good tight but comfortable fit. I ordered the Medium as I also have another Scorpion in the same size.
Many features such as the sun viser and included pinlock are awesome for the price.

This is my second one. I love the wide field of view, and having a pin-lock included is always welcome. It's a secure fit with plenty room for speakers and mic boom. The peak looks good but buzzes a bit when you wind it on... no problem, it looks just as good without it...

Lost a screw from the visor mechanism on my original one which was replaced free of charge by Scorpion via my local bike shop (great service).

After 3 years service I have retired my first ADX and it was a no-brainer to go straight back to SportsbikeShop for a second one.

Bought as a second helmet, I have a Shark Evo OneTwo, however after a few days this is likely to be the one of choice.
The plus sides:
1. Looks good
2. Fits my face shape ( the Caberg Droid didn't)
It's quieter than my Evo oneTwo.
4. Ventilation seems good. Adjustable front vent.
5. The visor stays slightly open allowing greater airflow.
6. When visor fully down, size of visor means feels less claustrophobic.
7. Cost. Half price of Evo OneTwo.
8. Removable peak
9. Pinlock included
10. Easily accommodates spectacles.

Downsides:
1) Not double homologised, you can't ride with visor in open position
2. It's quite heavy.
3 feels unbalanced with chin bar in open position.
4. It's sized small. My Evo is a large, I bought an X-LARGE and it feels tight ( not uncomfortable but tight), cannot wear a skull cap underneath.
5. To change visor or insert pinlock you need to undo 2 large screws on side, and make sure you replace seal washers correctly.
6. More noticeable buffeting than my Evo, but peak is fitted, so might be different if removed.

Would I buy one again ? Absolutely yes.

Got sick of struggling to fasten my shark helmet properly so decided to get a new helmet. My husband did all the research and showed me this one which although black and boring looks great with some flower stickers :). It was comfortable right from the start and fastens properly. It is quiet. The intercom was easy to fit. The sun visor controls are easy to get to and the visor is not too dark. I can't fault this helmet at all. Sportsbikeshop was superb as usual.

Best money for value helmet out there. Could not recommend more highly. Thanks Sportsbikeshop for excellent service and communication.

I exchanged this helmet twice, whilst I faffed around trying sizes, eventually ending up with the size I'd ordered in the first place. Excellent returns service: speedy, no hassle and good customer telephone support.
Excellent product which is well made and quieter and less "creeky" than my previous LSR helmet. A bit heavier, but then has the liftable chin bar. Glasses and speakers with Sena unit all fit comfortably. Love it!!

This helmet is very good, and at a good price point, a good looking helmet, travelled to Wales from Cornwall, no vibration issues with the peak, good sun visor & the pin lock that comes with the helmet works very well. I recommend this helmet

Great helmet, arrived very quickly, little fiddly getting my cardo system attached but it's in now and solid. Also came with a pinlock visor insert. Very happy.

Had this helmet now for about 2-3 weeks and it is amazing!!! For the money it has a lot to offer. The padding is soft and comfortable, we a decent sized ear recess to allow for a headset and your ears comfortably, the lift up face is easy to use and has a positive action. The visor is wide a provides a great field of view and includes a pinlock to ensure visibility remains in cold weather. My only criticism is that to fit the pinlock, you need to remove the peak and visor which wasn't a bit of a pain. The peak provides good cover on sunny days but despite having some cutouts for airflow still gives a fair amount of buffeting at higher speeds. Other than that it is an amazing helmet, very impressed!! Highly recommend!

I had a few issues with Scorpion over supply however top marks to Sally from SBS who sorted this out for me and was polite and helpful throughout.
The helmet is very plush for the price - good vents that keep the visor clear at and around eye line view. (there is some misting lower down but not really in the field of vision) The helmet comes with a Pinlock visor and this works well as stated above albeit a small amount of misting low down. Top vent gives small amount of air flow on top of head but the great thing with this helmet compared to my old one is if the visor is opened to first detent there is loads of air channelled to the face (and the visor still protects your eyes.) Dark visor is flip down and works well and easy to operate. The peak does get a little turbulence but at very high speeds only and only with head in a position of slightly out of straight ahead position. Good quality finish and comfy from the outset inside - I fitted a Cardo Freecom Comms system with no problems and didn't have to cut or change any of the interior. Flip up is easy and smooth - using one hand and is not obtrusive or heavy when in either position. Only downside is the visor removal is a screw type fitment but this really doesn't bother me because it is a positive fit and easy to do with a coin or a key. Noise is as good as my old Nolan helmet (so I am happy) but I wear ear protection while riding but I have noticed that my Comms system is reduced in volume by 1 and I can hear more than I could in my old Nolan. This may be speaker positioning or it could be a slightly quieter helmet.
I would recommend this helmet - and SBS service was once again excellent following Scorpions disappointing customer service.

A fantastic helmet that is very comfortable and is good in all round conditions! The pinlock is a great feature and a life saver on the wet days.

A bit of wind noise but isn't bad previously came from a full face so the noise was expected on this.

A perfect helmet for everything, I have been using it for a week and I have not had any problems, it does not have a great sailing effect, a helmet that works for everything and at a very good price, I recommend it 100%
