Awesome

One of the best gloves I've had. If the temperature drops under 5C and traveling at national speed limits then you will need something warmer but overall these are great. One issue is that when the hand is moist then it is difficult to put them on because the liner is not fully attached to the glove and it moves inside. A bit of wiggle and then it's fine.

Decent Gloves

I bought these based on previous reviews and they had everything I was looking for. I live in N Ireland and we generally don't get great summers so I tested these at temperatures of 15 degrees and I wouldn't want to go any higher. I feel (although not tested) that they are best suited from 3-10 degrees. They are a very comfortable glove and offer good protection. The cuff is a little short so I feel best suited to a jacket with adjustable cuffs that can sit over the top of the jacket. I don't feel I am best suited to give proper feedback on the size, I bought a large because I normally wear medium / large and my hands do warm up and swell so the large was good for me. As normal excellent service from SBS. I've only recently got into biking and they are my go to shop!

Great quality

These gloves have all the protection you could need, incorporated into very soft high quality leather that allows great "feel" of the controls. The padding keeps you warm on chilly days, but doesn't become overly sweaty on warm days. They are thin enough to still be able to do up zips, helmets and manipulate phones, aided by the "e-tip" on each index finger and thumb, allowing the operation of touch screens on phones and tablets. I have only tested in light rain so far with no leaks, but the gloves are billed as fully waterproof. Very comfortable gloves.

Comfy and warm with decent protection

I bought these as a birthday present for my girlfriend as they seemed to fit the bill perfectly. I lean more towards sports gloves for the safety aspect, were my girlfriend wanted something more subtle, without bulky carbon knuckles etc, so settled on these as they looked to have the additional protection in all the right places, and the style that she wanted. Brilliant service from Sportsbikeshop as always (really, these guys are great) and they arrived a couple of days later. Unfortunately I got the sizing wrong (ordered Small but needed XS), but absolutely no problems exchanging them for the right size. Because of this, not used the gloves yet, but have had a good look at them. The leather outer is nice and supple, with a high quality feel to it, and nice subtle Dainese label on the finger. Additional leather layers in all the areas that need extra protection (little finger, thumb etc), plus armoured knuckles that blend in with the glove nicely. Inside they are fleece (?) lined, so will be a godsend in spring and autumn and should keep your hands nice and warm. They don't appear to have any vents, so will have to see how they perform in summer when it gets warmer. As mentioned in other reviews, the padding is very comfy, but still allows good feel through the gloves. Not tested the waterproofing, although from the feel and quality of the gloves I could well believe that they are. Overall, they seem to be a very good glove, comfy and warm with decent protection and the quality that you'd expect from Dainese.

Perfect for the colder weather

These gloves have enough padding to keep you warm without having too much that you can't feel the controls. Only seen a light shower so far but didn't let any water in. Really comfy from the off and a nice understated look. I also have Dainese Blackjack in a Medium but needed a Large for these gloves so be careful with sizing but Sportsbikeshop are great with returns and exchanges.

About
Dainese

In 1972 Mr Lino Dainese made some leather motocross trousers, starting a biking brand that has since brought style and innovation to motorcyclists the world over. Working with some of the most evocative names in motorcycle racing, Dainese led the way in the development of leather stretch panels, knee sliders and race suits- cut to suit the rider in a real world riding position. The 80's brought back protectors (with Barry Sheene), composite armour, and more aerodynamic suits; whilst the 90's brought gloves with knuckle armour and the first biking airbag system. Dainese remains at the forefront of motorcycle clothing technology and continues to be the brand of choice for the biggest names in bike racing, all the way up to the greatest rider of all time, Valentino Rossi. Today, Dainese is one of the most recognisable, coolest, and most aspirational motorcycle brands on the planet. With a well deserved reputation for safety that has crossed over into nearly every extreme sport there is, the name Dainese is synonymous with style, protection, comfort and durability.
