good quality helmet at a very good price.
Seems to be well designed and well built. The fit is pretty good. Perhaps on the snug side. Easy to lift the front up, even with gloves on but the sun visor switch can be a bit tricky. Good, clear visor with good peripheral vision. Helmet perhaps on the heavy side. Very happy with my purchase. Would recommend.Read more
A helmet for all riders, mums know best!
The LS2 Valiant (matte titanium; XXL) is a great helmet at a good competitive price. I bought this for my son and this is what he had to say about it: It is made of high quality materials with a high quality finish. The colour and shape is aesthetically pleasing, and the chrome accents on the hinge for the chin bar give the lid a little pop factor. For a polycarb' modular lid weighing in at about 1.7kg, I've found it surprisingly light, balanced, and comfy whilst riding; without needing to take it off periodically. The liner is soft to the touch, and comfy. It fits my head well. I should mention that the cheek pads are really thick, I've had to remove the comfort liner off of the chin strap due to the cheek pads pushing the press fit button on the strap liner into my cheek causing some minor discomfort. That's probably due to me having an odd head shape. Hopefully over time as the lid wears in, the pads will compress; if not, i can always buy the cheek pads for the next size up to give me that lil extra room. The buckle on the chin strap is easy to operate; although it can be fiddly with gloves on. The chin bar is easy to operate whilst riding and stationary; making full to open face (and back) in traffic commutes with varying speeds a doddle. Internally, the chin bar does sit a little close to my chin; if I yawn, I touch it. Solution; drink coffee, don't yawn. The internal sun visor is probably one of the best I've ever used on a helmet, and the gear mechanism feels incredible. However, I do find the cutaway for the nose a little small and low down, thus have experienced some minor fogging, which is rectified by having the chin bar vent, (or visor), open. The vents are easy to operate with gloves. The chin bar vent offers a good amount of airflow that prevents my glasses from fogging up. The vent on top seems to offer decent airflow; but as a rider with dreadlocks I can't comment too much on this, all I can say is that it doesn't feel like I'm in an oven. The main visor is large, wide, and clear. It's simple, albeit a bit faffy, to remove, and super easy to install. The pinlock feature is superb; I've not experienced any fogging since fitting it. I will note: the tab to open the visor is at the centre top of the visor, which is taking some time adjusting to it. A bit of a minor inconvenience, but I can see why LS2 have done this; for the chin bar to be clear of the visor when converting into an open face. Verdict: I highly recommend this lid to someone wanting a flip front designed to be ridden as open and full face without sacrificing many, if any, safety concerns of a true full face.Read more
Quality flip up helmet
Really pleased with my purchase.Quality piece of kit at a reasonable price. Bought to replace a similar one that I purchased the week before which was like a toy one compared to thisRead more
Excellent for commuting
I bought this helmet for commuting to and from work and its excellent. Got the comfort of a full face when its a bit cooler first thing in the morning with pinlock to stop that fogging up, and when it gets to those hot afternoons just flip it back for an open face with an excellent sun visor and the ride home is a breeze....The helmet is well built and has style . Excellent LS2.Read more

Comfortable, well made with best of both worlds
Have only been riding for a couple of years and in that time have gone through about 6 helmets trying to find one that is right for me. This helmet is super comfortable and gives me the benefit of open face riding with the benefit of a full face helmet when weather turns bad. Flip up mechanism is superb and solid and all controls are easy to use. Get no 'sail' effect that I have suffered with other flip ups I have used. It is also supplied with a Pinlock which I don't think is noted in text of advert so that a plus too. Visor is easy to detach and replace without tools so another plus. So good my partner is looking at replacing her helmet with one, and she is the fussy one in family!! Sportsbikeshop are a superb place to buy from, have never had such good service from an online retailer....Top marks from me.Read more

The roots of LS2 go back to 1990 and an operation in a small rural workshop in China that has expanded into one of the world's largest helmet manufacturers. That workshop grew into a vast enterprise with more than a thousand employees making over two million helmets a year for other companies around the globe. In 2007 the company decided it needed to branch out and create helmets under its own banner. LS2 was born, with a head office in Barcelona and a determination to become one of the world s leading players. In its first decade LS2 has become a genuine brand in its own right and is establishing a reputation for quality.See all LS2 products…
