Great versatile armoured undershirt
I'm really impressed with this armoured undershirt and I rarely give compliments about motorcycle armour, which can all too often become a real annoyance on the bike. This is not the case with the new Forcefield armour which seems to fit like a glove. I usually wear a size M in tops but sized down to make the most of the compression fit which does a great job of holding the armour exactly where it should be without any discomfort. The new armour conforms well even in a full tuck and doesn't restrict movement which is more than I can say for previous 'track vest' type solutions. I wear this under a slightly oversized jacket and it feels great, also fits nicely under my 1piece with the arm pieces removed making a dandy base layer + back and chest protection! Haven't crashed it but it feels like it should do the job and i've found Forcefield armour reliable in the past.Read more
Bulky but light
At first the top felt big but its because it is really stretchy material. Once the top is on and you put a jacket over it you realise how bulky it is the back is good but its the sternum pad at the front that bulks it up. I might remove that for road riding and put it back in if I am trail riding. Shoulder and elbow pads are great. The garment is long and covers the back fully. Overall I am pleased with it.Read more
Has good armour, and fit perfectly which is hard as I'm 6'2 and pretty thin , also so comfortable to where whilst on the bikeRead more
its stretchy, fell in between sizes so had to go for the bigger one (thier largest size) which is slight loose in the arms but still tight in the chest area.. If I had gone the smaller size arms would have been good (circumfrerence wise) but I would not have been able to close it! On the move it is okay heat wise. Stationary or sitting your back sweats++ some of the stitching in thumb loop areas already fraying after 2 uses! chest protector sits a bit low for my taste and could be more anatomically inclined. the armour itself (elbows and shoulder) although level 2 doesn't feel any different thickness/material wise to ones i get free with jackets (level 1) im hoping its some special material or something. The chest and back protectors look like different coloured yoga mats cuts to shape and stuck together with rough edges here and there. In terms of CE rating I think this on the lower level of CE2 rating (anecdotal view). I wish shops would report what the actual NM rating is for protectors (I know they do for the sub4k, which is its branding trade mark I suppose). Overall don't get me wrong its a good shirt, does the job and I use it almost daily (wthout chest protector in summer jacket) but I think for what it is, its grossly over priced!Read more
Without doubt he best Armour-Shirt of all I tried!
I had tried other armour shirts from various brands! However this is by far the best for me. Fits really well and the armour stays fixed securely in place. (I'm usually Medium but went for Small in this product and fits perfectly). Other brands I tried didn't feel as secure and were much bulkier but offered no further level of protection for all their extra bulk! This is a great product and SportBikeShop service has been awesome as always, exchanging sizes and keeping me fully informed of exchange/order progress!Read more
Super light weight protection
Just back from a few days snowboarding having wearing my new Pro Shirt. Have to say at first I thought when I put the shirt on that it would be hard to wear for the day. But it was the total opposite, really nice to wear in -10 conditions one day and the at +5 the next. The shirt really moulds to your body, super flexible. It offered great protection when I took a few bad falls hitting soild ice. Spend the money and buy this if you want to protect yourself.Read more
About the best armour-shirt I could find
I have a couple of different bike jackets that I sometimes want to wear without the armour if I'm not riding the bike - and in the summer maybe want to wear just a shirt - so the concept of an armour undershirt is a good idea. The Forcefield Pro X-V 2 is about the best on the market as far as I can tell. It's comfortable and has quite good protection... but - > the chest pad could be wider to come further round your ribs > the side zip is awkward to use. It would be better if the zip went up the middle and one side of the fabric flapped over the front of the chest-pad to facilitate this > the fabric is all just a bit too stretchy - getting it on and off is a bit like getting tights on and off, it takes a bit of adjusting and yanking about to get it in place once it's on. And the pockets for the elbow armour seem to be on the inside, so you catch your hands in them as you pull the sleeves on So - it's not perfect but I think it's about the best one on the market...Read more
The concept of an armoured undershirt is probably alien to the majority of road riders, who are perfectly happy with ...
