Customer Reviews for Vemar Zephir Lunar - Red / White / Orange / Blue
Nice helmet
I've only worn this helmet for a few hours but so far quite pleased. Was a bit tight at first but is now begining to mould to my face and I'm guessing it will get more comfortable as time wears on. Good field of vision with good ventilation if required. The visor is easy to use once you locate the lugs at the side as opposed to the middle. The sun visor is also easy o use. All in all, quite pleased so far. As for the overall look, cool as a frozen cucumber.

Bought this helmet as a replacement for an adventure helmet, mainly because of the wide field of view. It doesn't disappoint in that regard. Nothing hinders your vision on either side, making shoulder checks much more satisfying. Unlike the adventure helmet though, this one has fully adjustable vents which is a beautiful thing at this time of year. There's also no drag from the 'nose'. I've found it a very comfortable helmet -- I forget I'm wearing it, which is a good thing. It -is- somewhat large though, with an odd bottom-heavy look (not feel) because of the way the chinbar accommodates the enlarged visor. It's also pretty high at the back, which may be good or bad. Sunshield works smoothly and firmly, but the lever is unusually placed beneath the chinbar. Can be a little hard to find at first. The visor's locking system isn't entirely to my taste. For one thing, instead of having a centred pushtab it's got one on either side of the nose. I've worn helmets with worse designs, but it's still a little awkward. It's also impossible to open it just a crack -- it either sits in a locked, unlocked, or opened-slightly-more-than-I-actually-want open position. YMMV. I've found it decently airy and decently quiet. There's a little bit of whistling if you turn your head at high speeds. I've also had next to no problems with fogging, despite wearing glasses with it and not having coughed up the money for a pinlock. Speaking of glasses, it doesn't hold them as well as I'd like. It's not uncomfortable, just awkward.
