Good, but not great
My Defender jacket had been back to Rev'it for repairs for nearly 7 weeks and i desperately needed a jacket as we were doing the NC500. I got great discount from SBS so bought Thursday, arrived Friday, away NC500 Saturday. First thing i noticed was the outer skin doesn't feel as good quality, feels very flimsy in a way, also the velcro isn't very velcro, my sleeve cuffs continually coming away along with the velcro up the chest. Good points are it looks great, and we had serious rain at one point and i remained dry, inner GoreTex liner seems quality. i would really give this a 3 1/2 if i could, just little thing drop a point and a half :(

Bought this jacket & the neptune trousers as I commute all year in all weather's. Have used it in some nasty rain last few days. I have been bone dry except for the cuffs where water has gone up the sleeve. Still experimenting with the way I wear my gloves and how to do the cuffs up. Nice big zip makes wearing gloves under the jacket easy. Good ventilation. For the price jacket should come with the back piece. Level 2 armour in shoulders and elbow though. This does make a big difference as proved in my spill with a previous jacket
