I really liked the look of this item.
I bought it on a whim, just in time for the last bit of summer heat.
As a summer "jacket" it's superb.
I have other vented summer jackets. Good as they are, this Bionic V2 is the coolest (metaphorically & literally) I've used. It doesn't matter how hot the weather, the vest with armour outer keeps you cool. This newer version also has abrasion resistant arms.
Of course, you can use any other jacket/hoodie etc over it, whilst still having huge impact protection.
The only downside I've found is the velcro kidney belt pulls the elastic armour straps to shreds if you allow them to get entangled when taking it off & storing it.
Lesson learned on that!
Apart from that, I love it!
