The Antartica 2 trousers are ideal when exploring the coldest lands on the planet. Designed to ensure superlative thermal insulation and greater protection in the most extreme conditions. Inspired by research into the human body's lines of non-extension, used by Dainese and MIT when designing the space suits that NASA astronauts will wear on their journey to Mars, these pants combine maximum protective technology with ergonomics that ensure total freedom of movement in the saddle. The Gore-Tex laminated membrane serves as a shield against rain, snow and atmospheric agents, allowing its wearer to tackle long journeys in all conditions, with the benefit of maximum breathability. The removable 700 Fill Power down lining offers maximum thermal insulation, essential when exploring in the coldest climates on Earth. Large air vents on the thighs, direct to the body and easy to operate while wearing gloves, allow the wearer to set the ideal level of ventilation for maximum comfort when travelling. Protection in every situation is guaranteed by Pro-Armor Lev. 2, Type B protectors on knees and hips, which boast the highest level of certification and coverage area for limb protectors. The areas most sensitive to impact are reinforced with exclusive Trixior D-Tec, an engineered fabric that is highly resistant to abrasion and wear. It's electronic processing ensures the optimum thickness and structure so as to faithfully trace the body's movements.

About
Dainese

In 1972 Mr Lino Dainese made some leather motocross trousers, starting a biking brand that has since brought style and innovation to motorcyclists the world over. Working with some of the most evocative names in motorcycle racing, Dainese led the way in the development of leather stretch panels, knee sliders and race suits- cut to suit the rider in a real world riding position. The 80's brought back protectors (with Barry Sheene), composite armour, and more aerodynamic suits; whilst the 90's brought gloves with knuckle armour and the first biking airbag system. Dainese remains at the forefront of motorcycle clothing technology and continues to be the brand of choice for the biggest names in bike racing, all the way up to the greatest rider of all time, Valentino Rossi. Today, Dainese is one of the most recognisable, coolest, and most aspirational motorcycle brands on the planet. With a well deserved reputation for safety that has crossed over into nearly every extreme sport there is, the name Dainese is synonymous with style, protection, comfort and durability.
