Great exhaust and I had great service

The product itself fits and sounds great, it looks great and the style of the exhaust is amazing on my Yamaha XJ6 N. However, I had some issues with it meant to be in stock by a certain date which it wasn't. On the bright side, I received great customer service from Sam who was a lot of help and made sure that I had the best experience I could - therefore I am very happy with my experience:)

Bringing the Thunder

After considering several systems for my XJ6 and scouring YouTube for all sorts of sound clips (as you do) I settled on the Arrow system. Retaining the centre stand was an absolute must and the Arrow system allows you to do this. As mentioned in other reviews the instructions aren't the clearest along with the rubber supplied to protect scrapes when fitting the hanger had to be cut to allow proper fitment of other parts. The exhaust system is well made and the high quality you would expect from an Arrow product, however there is no mention in the instructions of using gaskets, the standard manifold has gaskets between the engine block and the exhaust, I installed the new system with these gaskets only to find that the Arrow system does not fit properly yet there is no mention of this in the instructions not to use gaskets. I have never fitted an exhaust in my life without using gaskets of some sort so it was a bit of a pain. All in all a very well made system, with the baffle in it sounds very nice, giving a raspy higher pitched note but as the name would suggest 'street thunder' once you remove that baffle you are met with a very deep bassy rumble which sounds absolutely immense on the road. Every rev match is met with a symphony of crackles pops and bangs. The standard XJ6 is a very quiet bike and this for me has transformed the bike. Excellent

I opted for the Street Thunder "Dark Line" exhaust from Arrow and it is superb! The instructions for fitting weren't that great but most of it is self explanatory. The fittings were easy to get together and it's a great looking addition to my XJ6. The noise from the can is very pleasant, especially without the battle. Video link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OC0WZwMneQU One thing to note - if your bike has ever been dropped onto the right hand side you may have clearance issues between the end can and a bolt on the rear caliper due to the footrest hanger bending inwards. It's an issue I have but doesn't make itself known until you carry a pillion. Although I imagine this would be an issue with most bikes. Overall a great exhaust can that sounds excellent. Once again, fantastic service from Sportsbikeshop.

Missing parts from set, badly designed fitment

There was a missing bolt and washer from the set, the instructions provided were not very helpful in assembling the exhaust as pictures were not clear. In my opinion the exhaust is not a very good designed fit for the bike. Parts of rubber provided in the kit to prevent marking the plastics had to be cut down by myself in order for it to fit correctly. Other then that it is a really nice exhaust with a nice sound to it.

Great Product, outstanding quality!

Fantastic build quality, easy to fit, took less than a hour to remove old unit and fit the new!! Sounds amazing, improves throttle response, MPG, extra BHP, highly recommended!! buy one now!!!
