Customer Reviews for Shark Openline Prime - Gloss White
I seem to be at odds with other reviews on this helmet. I bought it mail order and initially felt happy enough with it as it fit well and the price was good. Unfortunately the first ride revealed two issues for me. The first was noise, even taking into account that it's a flip-up, it was way too noisy for me. The second was that the visor doesn't 'snap' shut. This meant a gap which directed a cold blast (winter ride) to my face. Luckily for me, Sportsbikeshop allowed an exchange and I went back to Arai. The Openline did fit OK and is pretty cheap but I wouldn't recommend it.Read more
Great quality helmet for the price
Very please with the look of the helmet, it came with anit-fog visor, all vents work well. I usually take a large but I found this size a little tight on my ears.( i have only worn it for 500 miles so it might loosen up a little) Delivered in 2 days with standard delivery, fantastic service!Read more

Great helmet for the bucks
I really like this helmet, I use it for blood-biking, I prefer full face helmets as a rule but the price of this excellent Shark product can't be argued with.Read more
Great value helmet
Very good lid. A bit tight on the cheeks and difficult to fit glasses on, but this is my first flip front lid, so I don't know how well it compares to others. Very good service from Sportsbikeshop.Read more
Good quality helmet
I have recently purchased two Shark helmets for myself and being very pleased with the quality and comfort of these I bought this one for the wife who is used to a Schuberth. Her immediate concern was the risk of draught under the chin so we fitted the Shark chin cover. She is very pleased with the helmet and although there is a small amount of air ingress under the chin it is not causing discomfort. Overall assessment is good quality and very good value. Sportsbikeshop were extremely helpful in sourcing the chin cover which were in short supply, they continue to provide unrivalled customer service.Read more
Top deal on an open helmet
Nothing seems to much for the staff. Always helpful.Read more
Excellent value crash helmet
Excellent value crash helmet, locks in the open position so legal to ride with it up. Typical of all flip ups there is a lot of wind noise and the feeling of space around your mouth and chin. Mind you, I am comparing it to the Schuberth that I have, so not really a fair comparison. Using it for instructor training and it's perfectly fine, just wouldn't use it for touring long distance.Read more

Questions and Answers
Hi, can you tell me if the openline helmet has speaker cutouts. many thanks.December 31, 2018
Unfortunately this helmet does not have cut-outs I'm afraid.
How suitable is this helmet for people who wear glasses?May 29, 2012
The Shark Openline should be more convenient for glasses wearers due to it being a flip front. The integral sun visor can be worn with glasses, subject to frame size.
