No more cramp
After recently purchasing this I had a 240 mile trip to tackle which I wasn't looking that forward to! This was amazing and took the edge off the long journey. I didn't encounter cramp in my right hand or wrist at all. It's a shame there isn't anything designed for your legs on such journeys! Pretty easy to get used to.
Great gloves so far
Bought these as I was riding to Assen for the Moto GP on my Africa twin. Great gloves, very comfy, am yet to try them in the rain. My only criticism would be that the trim around the bottom of the glove could be stitched in better. Mine came loose on one of the gloves (I will have to restitch it) probably being a bit rough with them.
Wish I'd bought one earlier
Fitting is just snapping it onto the throttle, had a Bennett's fracture not too long ago and this has been a great help since. If you want it out of the way just push it upwards to rotate it easily while on the go. Only downside is it can hit the tank on sportier bikes when performing low speed maneuvers.
Moves around on warmer days and doesn't stay in the position you set it up. Doesn't really relieve that much cramp for me although it did act as something I could use to hold the throttle with my fingers so relieve some cramp. Very expensive for a bent piece of plastic. Should be £3 and then it may be worth it.
Easy to fit and adjust, it works
Had one of these on my Varadero XL1000. Sold the bike and left it for the new owner. Bought another - [Std size] - for my MK2 FJR1300. For the money you will spend don't even think about it. Buy one, motorway cruising is relaxed easy and cramp free.
The idea is brilliant as well as the component. Acceleration and cruising are made a lot easier so relieving wrist cramp. The only issue that I have found is that the length of the throttle grip when reduced by the Crampbuster is too narrow for my hand to sit comfortably in town driving where you have to regularly twist the throttle from tick over.
So simple but effective
I was unsure how good this would work but after have 3 rides of between 40 minutes to an hour and 10 minutes, this is really good. Once you have it in the right place for you, just relax your grip on the throttle and use the heel of your hand for constant or slight acceleration. Sturdy and easy to fit and a reasonable price. Would definitely recommend.
Simple but it works
Suffer with painful throttle wrist when on long rides but this is perfect. Just rotate it to required position and you can relax hand and stretch fingers whilst maintaining cruising speed then when not required around town just spin it forward out of the way, wish I'd thought of it, great investment.
Small but makes a massive difference
You won't believe what difference it makes for longer rides! If the weather is good, I can rest my open palm on crampbuster and relax my arm. The weight is enough to keep the throttle steady. If it's chilly, I can make a fist and control the throttle with the meaty part of my thumb. For more control, e.g. in traffic, I can always grab the throttle with my ring and little finger and keep my thumb on the crampbuster. Easy to slide off off the crampbuster and grab the throttle quickly, e.g. when filtering through traffic, then it's enough to extend my thumb and slide my palm up on the crampbuster again in a smooth motion. Qualitywise, it's plastic, but it seems sturdy. Riding in -3 degrees lately, I was glad it wasn't metal. So far, no signs of wear. It sits on my grips throughout winter on the driveway.
