MT Blade SV Race Line - Matt Black / Orange
Customer Product Reviews
Decided to change my Shark Skwal after breaking the visor for the umpteenth time, but funds were low, saw this MT Blade on sale and after a bit of googling decided it was worth a punt. Delivered next day by excellent Sportsbikeshop, helmet was a good fit right out of the box, really comfortable. Visibility is good and the visor came with a pinlock insert which works well, the visor seals really well with no rain running down the inside. It's not the quietest with a slight whistle when riding with the visor up. The vents work well with gloves on, the sun visor comes in handy and doesn't direct the wind up into your eyes when down, something my AGV K3 did. For the price I think this is a well made helmet and should provide many years service, so buy buy buy, bye bye.
Safety & style flourescent means to be seen
Not only was this helmet a great price, its light and comfortable too,the inner visor is perfect, with the pinlock included in the price as well its a brilliant helmet, plus the flourescent stripe hopefully can be seen by car drivers
Very nice helmet for a decent price
Very happy with this helmet, especially for the price. It is well made and looks the part. The pin lock is an added bonus and works really well. I added the dark visor. Be sure to make sure you get the right visor fitting as there are two (v1 and v2). The helmet sizing is accurate and a very comfy fit.
Must Buy Helmet For Beginners
For £100ish i didnt expect all that much but when my DPD package arrived I have to say i was impressed. This helmet offers a great SHARPS protection rating, Features like a drop-down sun visor and removable pads at a reasonable Price. Furthermore it fit perfectly as well as looking absolutely stunning. I would 100% recomend this helmet to anyone looking for a cheap high quality helmet to get yourself on the road. Although many better Helmets are available not many of them match the price of this one.
Great value helmet
The beauty of this helmet is that it doesn't cost the earth, is comfortable and has a pinlock insert. What's not to like??!! At this price, you will be pushed to find better. Yes, there is some wind noise, but then you get that with a lot of helmets in this range. All in all, I'd whole heartedly recommend the MT Blade. Good looking helmet too :)
Simply awesome, 1st class, and very reasonable.
A helmet that has and does everything you need it to and looks cool ..feels very comfortable, pin locks are a must for me , anti fog works like it should, simple fastner, summed up in one word GILLETTE ""the best that man can get""...
Upgraded to this helmet from my old Spada. Excellent helmet. Comfy and the Pinlock system helps with fog but also the sunshade in bright light helps with a quick push of the slider. Allows for the helmet to be used all the time without having to change visor. Only downside is the sun shade fogs up so visor needs lifting when used.
Probably the best budget option out there
I was choosing a helmet for my girlfriend, and wanted to get her as much comfort as possible from the start. The helmet is very well made and we loved the fluorescent colour, which is safe and bright (orange). One of the key criteria was for the Pinlock to be included as this is a super feature to tackle visor misting from the inside. Also, a tinted visor is a big plus for sunny rides. Surprisingly for us, the helmet has a decent noise-isolation, while the interior is really well-made. The vent controls could be a bit sturdier, but can't really blame for the price. I do recommend the helmet if you are on a budget! You'll have hard time finding anything better.
Worth every penny
Having previously bought a £60 helmet, I was pleased to immediately notice the difference in quality moving up to a £130 helmet such as the MT Blade SV. The helmet has several premium features such as Pinlock, adjustable vents, and a built in sun visor; but most of all the product fits like a dream! The soft padding on the inside gives you a really premium feel and the noise reduction of the helmet alone is quite good. Bought to match my KTM's orange colour; glad I did.
Very good for the price
Was on the lookout for a sub £150 helmet for my urban commute... was going to go for a HJC IS-17 as I had previously then came across this one from MT... for less than £100! but it's a brand I hadn't known of before. Was skeptical at first but then read many a good reviews. The build quality is pretty good for the price and the bright flouro colour I hope will make me more visible. The sun visor is quite easy to operate. The fit is a little bit on the loose side but not loose enough to go down a size. The visor is a bit stiff to operate and not so easy to remove (compared to my Bell RS-1). My bike is loud and it is doing a good job of keeping the noise away from my ears.
