Alpinestars GP Plus Glove - Black
Customer Product Reviews
Alpinestars are my brand of choice for gloves, the sizing across all types is pretty consistent. I don't have the largest hands (usually M/L) but an XL is always almost perfect for me. The GP plus are amazing quality, great ventilation, great feel on levers but were let down for me by a large thumb. Would have made using switch gear a bit of a nightmare, so I regretfully returned.
Gloves are good to go
Great looking gloves, well made and good protection. Bit nervous about buying on-line. Usually fit a large glove and quite fussy about them. Carefully checked the fitment guide and decided to buy xtra large. Good job a did. Initially quite tight to get on but persevered. Good fit when on. Wore them a few times around house before riding. Loosened up nicely now. So great glove but be careful on sizing.
Good gloves for bigger hands
My husband already has a pair of these and loved them but due to a medical condition, his already big hands swell up so we had to buy the largest size - 3XL. We have looked everywhere for performance gloves for bigger hands, these are the only ones we have found that he can actually get on and off fairly easily and still give enough mobility in the fingers.
Before these, I was wearing the RST Track Tech Evo gloves, which were great, but after 8 months the stitching came undone. After much research, I went with these and all I can say is that with bike equipment, it seems that you definitely get what you pay for. These feel a world different, quality wise, already. A great fit. I have put about 1500 miles on them so far and they have broken in nicely and fit like a dream. A great balance of feeling and protection. Excellent gloves. Would highly recommend.
Got them wet
I was very pleased with these gloves. A bit stiff to start with and then I rode right through a massive thunderstorm in the Scottish borders and they were soaked through. Air dried them which took 3 days and they were perfect. Well padded in the right places. Good quality leather. I would buy them again and recommend them to anyone.
Start off a little stiff and need breaking in like all decent gloves but very comfortable after that and plenty of protection built in. The only downside for me is the cuff is a little big to get under my leathers and not not very comfortable wearing them over the top but I feel that's more to do with my jacket than the gloves.
What a glove
I've just got into riding and was unsure as to what gloves to get and chose these and all i can say is wow! They are a great fit and don't nip or pinch anywhere, I went for the 2XL going by the measurement which was very accurate. I love these gloves and looking at the quality of them they look like they will last!
As you would expect from Alpinestars
Decent glove. Well made and finished, the leather isn't as supple as my RS Taichi gloves but then they were half the price and I'm sure they will soften up. Nice thin palm and fingers for feel but decent protection. Sizing comes up a little small, on measuring I was in the middle of the large size but I think an XL may have been slightly better.
