Good jeans sizing?

Jeans are excellent for ventilation with liner for colder days. Sizing is miles out though. I'm 32 waist all day long but had to go to 36 which fitted perfectly. First class service from SBS.

Summer trousers

Firstly, I've not tested these. I bought them for touring Europe later in year. Scottish winters aren't for testing summer pants. I wanted an alternative to my main storm-proof suit or bike jeans. The Richas are well made with mesh panels on upper and lower leg so they should be cool. Would have preferred a lighter colour but I'm not keen on the two-tone alternatives. I've no plans to use the liner. They use strong, quality material and very well made. I took advice of other reviews and bought XL which are a good, but snug, fit, although I'm always L.

Worth the money

Good pant melted me dry when it was absolute boring it down and the fits a bit snug but fairs fair, not too hot but keep the cold off and the wind the the knee armour is right where it should be

Good, but there is a but

Kept me cool in the recent hot weather even with the lining in. Take the lining out and the air blowing on your legs is excellent. I have other Richa jeans and they are excellent in the winter and these are excellent in the summer heat. The but is every time I sling my leg over the bike the trousers come over the top of my right boot. This means I have to bend down and pull them back over before I can move off. They are the correct size leg and my other Richa jeans don't have this problem. This is an annoyance when getting on the bike hence the 4 star rating otherwise it would be a 5 star rating

Excellent

Great fitting for me, I always struggle finding the right fitting jeans. Love the mesh, for those warm days. They also have a water membrane which I've yet to try.

Good but not for Winter

The Good! Do I think it's rain proof? Yes but I yet to ride in heavy rain. Does it fit well? It looks great on me BUT you might need a size up as in my case, I exchanged mine for a 36 when I am 34. Perfect for summer. The Not so Good I do not think its made for winter riding. I was cold riding just under 8 degree celsius Could have come with heat retention's A bit too pricey. Not roomy enough for an extra layer despite one size up! Overall score for me is 6/10

Lightweight

Nice, lightweight trousers. Prompt delivery. A word to the wise here. XXXL is Large. Max 36 inch waist, leg length is a nice fit for me, at just under 6ft.. I wear them over my work clothes most of the time.

Size up

I'm a size 34 short in jeans but going by reviews I ordered XL they are a neat fit though I couldn't wear them as an over trouser.

Quality trousers

Feels like a well made product and seems to perform regardless of the weather conditions. Like others have said need to go 1-2 sizes bigger.

Excellent

Must be good as it's my second pair. Only reason for not giving 5 stars is that the plastic on the side of the waist which is part of the waist adjustment broke after 18 months and not therefore under warranty. I will be more careful adjusting on the new pair. Great for summer and winter. Always waterproof having used in a lot of rain and never once got wet.

Fantastic trousers for all weathers

Decided to give Richa a try after reading good reviews. These are great trousers giving fantastic protection, keep you cool in the heat and dry in the rain (as tested yesterday through a downpour). Long Leg length is spot on for 6ft4 rider but you do have to go up at least 1-2 waist sizes from normal due to small sizing. Highly recommended for the price.

Fantastic

Wanted some lightweight but waterproof trousers. I prefer not to wear these over jeans etc as it feels really bulky, so I purchased exact size. These trousers are light and so comfortable that it's easy to forget that you have them on, so to speak. Haven't been in heavy rain yet,but everything is good up to now.

Nice lightweight trousers

I was looking to buy some lighter motorbike trousers as my pair of Frank Thomas, although very good, are heavy and hot in milder weather. These trousers are lightweight and comfy to wear, I would advise going anything from a size to a couple of sizes up from your normal jeans / trouser size. Been curvy, I sometimes find that women's clothing can be rather unrealistic with their sizing!

Good product

Went with reviews and bought a size up. Great fit really comfortable. Wore for the first time and traveled nearly 400 miles really warm with the liner in and showerproof on the motorway. Great purchase.

Quality that works

Only issue I have was the sizing, as per another review. I'm a size 36" but needed the 3XL to allow any adjustment if by some miracle my waist shrunk! Looks great and performs well so far, I paired it with the Airstream jacket which is also great. Got caught in a shower, kept me dry, but not a real test of waterproofness. Went out in 5C temperature just with the jeans, no thermal layer, I was OK, bordering on feeling a chill, so some people may require thermals if doing long rides in cold conditions. Overall, really pleased with them.
