Schuberth C3 Basic - Glossy White
Customer Product Reviews
Chosen for low noise, after a test ride found it noiser than my old Caberg, but by raising up on the pegs above the windscreen, it is actually quiet. Flip front needs a good tug to secure and with top vent open it froze the top of my head (8 deg ambient), so reckon a pinlock insert essential to keep snug and fog free.Lightweight and good field of vision. Looks and feels good quality.
Great helmet for the past 3yrs...
4* just coz the sun visor is too thin and that no pinlock provided by Schuberth. Had one for 3yrs and has done his job well. Light, silent(to an extreme =130km/h-75m/mph), comfy and ready to aerodynamic. And at less than 300eu and a great service by Sportbikeshop I'm happy with my purchase!
Good bit of kit
This is my first flip up helmet I have ever used and my first Schuberth product. The C3 is a very well constructed helmet with some good features. I find it very comfortable and it is much quieter than my previous AGV . The visor is very easy to remove and put back on. Good ratchet mechanism and thumb lift tabs both sides make lifting the visor so easy. Good vents, chin vent is super easy to operate on the go. Good inner sun visor and Pinlock insert ready make this helmet a good choice. Very stable at speed and light weight. I would buy another one for sure but maybe the C3 Pro would be my next choice.
The Schuberth basic C3 ticks all the boxes, it is much quieter than my last flip front helmet. The fit is great even with my distance glasses on. The built in sun visor is easy to operate with a gloved hand the chin strap has a tab which makes removal easy, its also lighter and more aerodynamic. Well worth spending that little bit extra.
Great quality product
I can only compare it to MDS M13 since I haven't owned anything else in my life (in regards to the lids). Incredibly comfortable, yes it puts a little bit more pressure on the forehead but thanks to this rest of your skull is not pressurised meaning you can benefit from fantastic ventilation system which is very easy and precise in operation. And since we are talking about it, ventilation is so good I had to close the vents with temperature at around 17 because I was getting cold. It comes apart quite easily and when you refit everything it looks and works exactly the same as it did on the first day. Both visors work very precisely and there is a very nice feel of quality to this item. If you ask me - worth more than £300 I spend on it. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
I already have a Shuberth Helmet but it is now well past it's sell by date. Been looking for quite a long time but put off slightly by the price that these helmets sell for. Finally, this helmet came on sale for a fairly reasonable price and I am the proud owner of it. Due to the weather I have not been out on many rides but all I can say is that it is even better than my old Shuberth and also has the benefit of being a flip up. The quality is great and is a good looking helmet. Also it fitted well and able to use my glasses. Very pleased so far and looking forward to adding some miles on it. I have bought a few items from Sportsbikeshop and have always been happy to buy from them in the knowledge that if there is a problem it will be solved amicably.
I'm a big fan of Schuberth and was looking forward to trying the flip face. The flip face is so handy and the lid fits perfectly although I would much prefer the double-D fastening system, this one has the Microlock ratchet retention system. All in all a great lid so I'm happy out.
Well made but definitely not quiet
Helmet is very well made. Feels like a nice quality bit of kit. But very disappointed that it is noisier than my Shark Evoline 3. The roar is quite deafening. Not very comfortable when wearing glasses. Surely Schuberth could accommodate us Spec wearers!
Great helmet but not very quiet
First off this isn't as quiet as I'd hoped for, but that aside its still a great helmet. It fits well & is comfortable, the visor & sun shade optics are outstanding. Its just disappointing I still have to wear earplugs to get a quiet ride. I used a cheap £50 LS2 before this & there's not a huge difference in noise suppression.
