Oxford Continental 2.0 Textile Jeans - Black

Great waterproof Winter trousers
Love this pair of trousers that are completely waterproof and very warm. They're great that that you can remove the thermal liner when the weather is milder. They have a zip vent on either side that are useful when feeling a bit too warm. I wear it with my Oxford Toledo Jacket which connects with the short zip at the rear, or I wear the braces that come with them to keep them up. Highly recommend this item to all.
Have been wearing these for a couple of weeks now. Comfort excellent... I am 6'2. Plenty long enough. Excellent fastening around the waist. Like the braces too. Lots of pockets and hi viz extras. Nice and warm 30 min commute to work 0 degrees. Waterproof too.
They do exactly what you'd want - keep you warm and dry when it's wet and cold. I haven't used them with the lining in yet but even without it they've kept me warm this winter on my commute. Great option for anyone not wanting to spend a lot more on something more expensive.
I'm 6'3, 105kg and purchased the 38 waist regular length in the leg. Usually a 36 but went up a size. Fit is perfect, snug but no pressure points or tight areas. Hip armour that is included is a dense foam and is removable so I will be purchasing proper CE armour for insertion. The knee armour is proper CE rated but it should be noted it is not removable. The quality is really great, it's heavy and durable. Been riding in October in Ireland it's lashing rain and cold but I actually had to remove the thermal lining it got far too warm, keeps you bone dry no leaks. Plenty of air vents and pockets. Of note does not connect to my RST jacket, has a central short zip at the back or a thin circumferential zip runs from right to left. I use the braces that come with the pants. Very impressed delivery in three days to Ireland packed with care.
Look no further
Great trousers.. brought for my 6 am commute to work, well made very comfortable and very warm even without thermal liner, not even sure the liner will need to go back in for the winter. Good air flow though the air vents. The trousers come with zip braces, which are good as I found the trousers a little on the heavy side, when off the bike. I brought Oxford Motreal jacket which work well together. Great service and advice from SBS.
Solidly built, waterproof and warm
The quality is fairly obvious both from the weight and the look and feel. They are well made and comfortable, though not sure it will get cold enough to use the thermal liner as they're quite warm by themselves. They have quite decent vents on the legs that you can use the poppers to make them stay open, so you can actually feel a draught, and that's on a fully-faired bike. I have never thought of myself as having short legs, but according to Oxford I do, so I had to swap the regular trousers for the short trousers. The braces are good and there is still a zip to connect the jacket. Even though my jacket is a different brand, it is a standard zip so it connects just fine.
Really rather super
Needed some waterproof and warm trousers for commuting to work in all weathers. After reading reviews decided on these, I'm 5'7 inch and 34 waist, ordered M reg, the sizing is spot on. I could have ordered the short leg but I wanted them to reach all the way down my boots and they do. I have used them on a number of extremely wet 45 minute commutes, motorway and A roads, they seem very waterproof, tho at one point I could feel what I thought was rain leaking in around the crotch, but when I got home my underwear was dry. It was obviously just the rain reaching the waterproof layer and feeling like it had gone inside. I can imagine these will be warm enough for my winter commute as they are extremely thick especially with the thermal layer in, as others have mentioned it is a bit of a faff undoing the waist clip that's nestled inside Velcro, but once you have the knack it's actually very secure. As usual great service from SBS.
Very good trousers
I finally ordered textiles after battling with leathers and waterproofs for too long. I'm 5'8 inch with 30 inch waist and the Small / Short fit me well. However if you are slightly taller and potentially slightly wider I believe this size would still fit you as the waist still has a little room and the length has a small amount extra but the braces help keep everything where they should be. These are extremely warm with the thermal liner in and still plenty warm enough with it removed without being too hot for warmer days. All in all I'm very impressed with these trousers and after trying on several sets of increasing price, these are by far the best value for money. Why people waste a fortune on much more expensive gear is beyond me. Each to their own.
Comfortable and warm even with the thermal liner removed. Bought these jeans to go with the Oxford Motreal Jacket and I am very pleased with both. I have stayed completely dry in some heavy showers. Excellent performance and good value.
My first touring pants and they were impressive straight from the box. Seem a little heavy but I guess that's because of all the protection (multiple layers). Knee guards are adjustable with Velcro, it's tricky to position them but they stay in place. Bought hip protectors and placed them with the sponges you get with the pants. They go a bit high I guess (above the belly button) but they fit well and they also protect the kidneys somewhat. Thermal liner goes to about mid shin. Overall great product.
Good combat style pants
For the price you really cant complain at these pants. Very good quality, good sizing, can store all sorts in them, keep the weather out really well and are good and comfy. no issues with these at all and would recommend to anyone doing daily rides like commuting.
Great commuting trousers
Great pair of trousers. Use for commuting to work and back so wear over a pair of normal everyday trousers. Best to go a for one size up to allow room for the trousers underneath but fit is great. Keeps me dry and warm on cold and rainy days. Very comfortable and the braces are actually a great addition. Highly recommended.
5 stars - Does exactly what I wanted at good value
Bought these trousers for a 660mile camping trip in the lake district from Peterborough. Thunder and lightning on the way up and constant showers on the way down the A1, I remained comfortable and dry. Great product with a quality feel and at good value.
Nice waterproof all year trousers
The first pair I received had a faulty zip, but Sportsbikeshop replaced them with no hassle at all. Apart from that, the trousers are great and very well made. I have ridden in the rain and they seem very waterproof. The material is quite thick, so with the lining in, I'd imagine they can be comfortably worn throughout the winter. Overall I'm very happy with them.
How to adjust knee armour
There's a hidden Velcro opening at the hem (lowest point) of the pants. Pull it apart and reach in to access the armour. The armour itself is held in place with another Velcro strap running vertically along it. Just pull the armour off it and refit as necessary. I hope this helps some of you mad b******* save your knees, and if it does I hope Allah the Almighty will reward me for it. As for the review: Excellent pants! Sturdy, comfortable, surprisingly not as sweaty as it ought to be considering how dry they keep me in torrential rain. Although the crotch area in contact with the seat does seep a little after prolonged rain. Really good pants though.
