Oxford Continental 2.0 Textile Jeans - Black
Customer Product Reviews
I'm always more interested in function over form. I don't know of the crash resistance and I don't ever want to find out! As for comfort the thermal liner is overkill for a normal day! Unless u ride in very low temps and it's always wet and windy. Pockets are great. Love the shoulder straps that keep them up as they are quite loose around the waist but needed a larger size for my larger legs! They are however a bit short for a 33 inch leg in the regular. They ride up and I get a draft. It's not a deal breaker but it is annoying that a longer size isn't offered. Not the only brand to do it. And considering sat on a bike they ride up why is a longer size not a standard thought? I'm 6'1 overall but anyone taller would probably struggle. Also they really need belt loops. My Furygan jacket doesn't zip in and I can't clop with belt hooks to anything either. I like them. Seen good for commuting wet weather certainly cold weather etc. but a few niggles annoy me.
Great jeans, good fit and warm
I am very pleased with these waterproof jeans. Fit perfectly, are warm and keep you dry. Lots of pockets to hold things and feel comfortable even on long journeys. Plus the price from Sportsbikeshop was spot on.:)
So Far So Good !
I haven't made it out on the bike since these trousers have arrived, but they are well built and look like they will give a long life. Order process was flawless and the delayed delivery option worked a treat. Great service and price.
OK but check fit
These seem OK except for small issues. The knee protection cuts into my knees when walking (seems too low). OK on bike, but need pulling into position. The trousers are the right length, as boot tops are covered when sitting. Also the zip undoes itself on the braces at the back. Warm even without the lining in the cold Easter air! Seems very strong and well put together.
Great value trouser
These are excellent trousers, replaced an old set of Weise that were falling apart at the seams. Tested in rain, hail and snow and held up to all, thermal lining is warm, but I remove most of time so I can wear light casual trousers underneath. Vents mean that these will see use in the summer. The bottoms fit well over the top of my forma adventure boots and I'm confident that there will never be leakage. Hi-vis detailing is a nice touch, as are the included suspenders as I don't currently have plans on connecting to an Oxford jacket. Only gripe is that the leg at the bottom could open higher or wider so that I could put the trousers on whilst already wearing my boots, just a small bug bear with an otherwise excellent pair of trousers.
Some small things (rubber ending in waist belt, button keeping thermal liner inside) fell apart on 1st/2nd use. Other than that, feels quite solid. Works well in lower temperatures and wet conditions so far. All in all, pretty happy with purchase.
Very well made and feel substantial. Plenty of pockets in the right places, zips all feel strong and easy to use. Handy zip out braces. Used in dry weather only so far but it was -1 with a -7 wind chill on my 10 mile journey to work. Arrived at work warm as toast with zero effect from the biting cold wind. Best textile trouser I have bought and at a silly low price.
Very warm and comfortable, the short option is a great fit. Good Velcro sections at the bottom to avoid any flapping around in the wind. Optional braces are excellent too. Great quality pair of trousers at a reasonable price.
Great waterproof Winter trousers
Love this pair of trousers that are completely waterproof and very warm. They're great that that you can remove the thermal liner when the weather is milder. They have a zip vent on either side that are useful when feeling a bit too warm. I wear it with my Oxford Toledo Jacket which connects with the short zip at the rear, or I wear the braces that come with them to keep them up. Highly recommend this item to all.
Have been wearing these for a couple of weeks now. Comfort excellent... I am 6'2. Plenty long enough. Excellent fastening around the waist. Like the braces too. Lots of pockets and hi viz extras. Nice and warm 30 min commute to work 0 degrees. Waterproof too.
They do exactly what you'd want - keep you warm and dry when it's wet and cold. I haven't used them with the lining in yet but even without it they've kept me warm this winter on my commute. Great option for anyone not wanting to spend a lot more on something more expensive.
I'm 6'3, 105kg and purchased the 38 waist regular length in the leg. Usually a 36 but went up a size. Fit is perfect, snug but no pressure points or tight areas. Hip armour that is included is a dense foam and is removable so I will be purchasing proper CE armour for insertion. The knee armour is proper CE rated but it should be noted it is not removable. The quality is really great, it's heavy and durable. Been riding in October in Ireland it's lashing rain and cold but I actually had to remove the thermal lining it got far too warm, keeps you bone dry no leaks. Plenty of air vents and pockets. Of note does not connect to my RST jacket, has a central short zip at the back or a thin circumferential zip runs from right to left. I use the braces that come with the pants. Very impressed delivery in three days to Ireland packed with care.
Look no further
Great trousers.. brought for my 6 am commute to work, well made very comfortable and very warm even without thermal liner, not even sure the liner will need to go back in for the winter. Good air flow though the air vents. The trousers come with zip braces, which are good as I found the trousers a little on the heavy side, when off the bike. I brought Oxford Motreal jacket which work well together. Great service and advice from SBS.
