Alpinestars Gunner WP Boots - Black
Customer Product Reviews
my new motorbike boots
Arrived promptly. Easy to get on and off as I have a high instep which caused problems fitting higher boots. Very comfortable and I have used them for short shopping trips during this lockdown period so cannot wait to give them a longer test. I am very pleased all round with the product and delivery.
I bought these boot after buying a pair of RST Paragons which leaked like a sieve. And these have been great. Totally waterproof, very comfortable and easy to get off and on due to being a shorter boot. They do feel abit bigger inside than my supertech R's so maybe going down a size or half if possible would be better. But I can always wear a thicker pair of socks!
Good value and so comfortable
Alpinestars saves my skin as it sells large sizes - I'm a normal size 14! The width fitting is medium+. A zip would be nice as in the taller boots, but the Velcro area seems adequate and adapts easily to thicker socks. Waterproofing is a real bonus for a boot at this price.
Up the Gunners
Great service from Sportsbikeshop as usual, Easy on off low boots, great for the gent with big instep and rugby calves. Good price, sturdy and so far waterproof. The only downside is the Velcro at the front of the boot does rub your skin raw if you don't wear long socks or a base layer. I usually wear a size 11 wide, so for a good fit I found I had to go up to a size 48 in these which I think is 12 1/2.
My first proper bike boots and am very happy with them. Used them on a 200 mile weekend ride and found them very comfortable. Also, very easy to put on with the two velcro side fasteners. As they're a short boot, a risk of water getting in if trousers don't cover the top, but I've not been out in heavy rain yet.
Awesome for price and do job
Awesome boots for the price. I'm a size 11 in normal boots/ shoes so went with the 11 in these. Fit perfectly. Very comfortable. Easy to get on and off via 2 sets of Velcro fasteners. Bought these as fed up of my other waterproof boots leaking in and getting wet feet on way to and from work. As of now these have been brilliant. I use them along with RST Alpha 4 textile pants and my feet have been dry ever since. Great value for money and would buy again if needed to :D
All year rounders
These shorter boots are ideal for all year round use. They are extremely comfortable and well made. They kept my feet bone-dry on a 20 minute wet ride... would they keep out the rain on a two hour wet wide at motorway speed?? Time will tell.
So far so good
I have only had these boots for a short while, but they seem really good. Seem sturdy, easy to put on and take off. Velcro straps to secure it so you don't have to mess around with a zip. Have not used it in the rain yet but I can't really see how the water would get into the boot so it should be fine & the sizing is perfect. I'm a size 9 so got the 44 as instructed by the sizing chart and it fits perfectly and the boot opening is wide enough to be able to tuck your bottoms into it if you so wish. Sportsbikeshop is selling it at the cheapest price online and you get free next day delivery so it's all good.
My husband can tend to go from one size to another with various types of shoes brands. I ordered a size 11 and they fit him perfectly which is unusual, I normally have to send things back. My husband has tried the boots as he has never had a pair of motorbike boots even though he has been riding for 40 years. He has said they feel great and doesn't have any problems changing gears, they just need to loosen up around the lower leg, but he would highly recommend them. Happy Xmas all round.
I bought these as my first pair of motorcycle boots and I'm very glad I did. They are very comfortable. I'm not really sure why you would choose full height boots as these boots come up quite high and give me all the protection I need (hopefully), I am only 5,8 though. Size wise, I'm a size 8 footwear so I bought a size 8 boot and they fit perfect. Very quick and easy to take off and on.
Warm and dry
They've been out for a 25-30 min commute in heavy rain and cold weather and I've been neither damp nor cold, so all good so far. You have to get the Velcro fastens just right otherwise I got a bit of an uncomfortable lump digging in the top of my foot, but now I've broken them in they are perfectly comfortable. The materials are are tough and the boots feel very sturdy, would protect your foot when it counted (I hope). They are more than comfortable enough to walk around in once you get to your destination as well.
