Bell Qualifier DLX - Solid White
Customer Product Reviews
Fantastic looking /quality helmet, especially for the price! Brought for my girlfriend and arrived next day. Fits very well (she was the larger of the XS size chart) Only downside is there isnt enough padding on the to of the helmet so after 30 mins or so it starts to hurt. Should be an easy fix however!
Nice helmet but be aware of sizing.
The helmet is a really smart helmet and looks great, is very comfortable and the adaptive visor is awesome. Be aware of sizing, the helmet fitted snug but after an hour of using it the lining gave loads causing the helmet to become very loose, meaning id need a size smaller because of this. Becuase the helmet is ow 'used' sports bike shop wouldn't do anything. So i purchased a small and have to sell the other helmet privately. If it wasn't for this the helmet rating would be a 4 star only becuase of noise levels at motorway speeds which isn't bad but could be better. However at the price it is its certainly awesome.
Item delivered quickly and in perfect condition. Overall the quality is very good and Transitions visor is fantastic. Visor does not have Pin-lock capability (although can be drilled for fitment) but not found the need for this. Quick release strap and visor lock would be the only downside but fantastic value for money and would definitely recommend this helmet.
Back to Bell
I first had a Bell helmet way back in 1976. I've had many different makes along the years. Decided to try Bell again and I'm not disappointed, it's still a quality product for the money you are paying. So if you are in the market for a good bike helmet give Bell a try.
Quality qualifier from Bell
Just done a 600 mile round trip to the Isle of skye with this new lid and I'm very impressed with it. Not only is it a perfect fit, it's a lot lighter than my old one and comes with a transition visor. (Think they retail about a ton) doesn't squash my lugs or press against my forehead, quality helmet from Bell. I would recommend this lid (and have) to anyone who's thinking about one. Good thing is, sportsbikesHOP returns are ace if it's not for you. Try before you buy :-)
An exercise in perseverance eventually pays off!
Buying a helmet on-line can be tricky, especially if switching brands. Tried two budget helmets based on glowing reviews but was ultimately very disappointed with both. Returned to a Bell helmet (I've owned a few) and the fit and comfort suits me perfectly. The light-reactive visor is the stand out feature of this helmet. Its brilliant in sunny or dark conditions. Wind noise is no better or worse than other (premium) helmets I've owned - ventilation works well and wind buffet seems better than my outgoing Arai helmet. The only disappointment, which I discovered after purchasing the helmet, is it only has a 3 star SHARP safety rating - the first Bell helmet to score so low. Would suggest SportsBikeShop feature all SHARP safety ratings with their helmets - as a reference point, if nothing else. But a big thumbs up to SportsBikeShop for making my returns a quick and effortless affair. I will certainly shop here again.
I have always struggled to find a helmet that fits but the Bell Qualifier DLX in XXL fits perfectly. There is no pressure on the front of my head which normally occurs and the light-reactive Transitions visor is superb. The helmet is quiet in use and looks great. The fact it is made by Bell confirms the build quality is to a very high standard.
Designed for Sena S10 ?
If you intend to fit Sena S10 to the helmet you will need a 10S-A0302 fitting kit £80 if you can find one. When it come to fitting this its a complete nightmare. Ended up filing fitting kit and helmet to get it to fit,but Sena S10 still keeps unclipping from helmet, now have put a bit of rubber in-between clip to stop S10 falling from helmet when riding. Places for putting speakers in come about the top of my ear, so can't hear a xxxxxxx thing ,so ended up putting speakers in-between the mesh of cheek pull outs, with some foam, also doing this stopped a lot of the wind noise the helmet has. ON PLUS SIDE TRANSITION VISOR IS GREAT
Nice premium feel!
Being my second helmet and coming from a cheaper one this has a nice premium feel to it both on looks and with a quality liner inside. Although reviews I read tend to focus on the transitions visor I wasn't too fussed about it, but I'll admit its quite cool when you see it in action! Noise wise, I was bracing myself as some of the others mentioned it was quite loud. However (although hard to gauge these things) I've found it definitely a quieter and nicer place to be than my previous.
