Dainese Carbon D1 Short Gloves - Black / Black / Fluo Red
Customer Product Reviews
As always, Sports bike shop has excellent service, I wouldn't shop anywhere else. The red/black Dainese gloves are excellent quality with the safety features you need and expect from a quality company such as Dainese. They are extremely comfortable, and I would definitely recommend the them.
Well made with good protection
Having short fingers, Dainese gloves fit me better than any other make. These short glove have the usual Dainese build quality with good levels of protection in the sliding zones. Nearly as good as the top end race glove at a fraction of the price.
I've all ways been a Alpinestars fan but fancied a change so I went for these carbon D1 short gloves. I ordered a XL as I would of with Alpinestars but they where a little to big so they where sent back and exchanged for a Large. These gloves are so comfortable straight out the packet. Will definitely trying other Dainese clothing. Thanxs again Sportsbikeshop for a very easy transaction.
I bought these over a year ago now and have used them everyday either for a commute, a ride and even a bit of off road!. They have been soaked and not cared for in anyway apart from being air dried and slung on top of the wardrobe. Only now are they showing signs of tiring, but even that is only cosmetic, the white leather around the knuckle joint is starting to crack so I can say for the price and what I have put them through I am impressed. My only gripe would be the palm, I don't have faith in it saving my skin, the wrist closure is weak but it is a short glove and I'm mostly on an Enduro bike so it doesn't really matter. I would buy them again for sure, protection, stitching, build quality and stretch are all good. They are light weight and never got hot. If your after a short glove I would say definitely buy them.
I have to say while the external quality, protection and look is excellent, I am not finding these comfortable to wear. They seem to have quite sharp internal seams in the fingers which dig in, rendering the wear a punishment rather than pleasure and would benefit from an additional soft liner. They are very snug fitting so consider a size up or better still try on before purchase.
I have only just got these gloves but first impressions are that they are very good. The fit is snug, as you would expect, but I am sure they will break in quickly to be very comfortable. Good quality leather and manufacture and comprehensive safety features should the need occur.
As expected from Dainese, great quality gloves and haven't took long to break in. They look and feel like they will do a good job in the unfortunate event. They come in at a great price too and for my the short wrist length is spot on cause I like my gloves under rather than over the jacket.
