SENA 10R Bluetooth Stereo Headset
Customer Product Reviews
GREAT overview of kit
We use these rider to pillion and rider to rider. Very impressed with them. Crystal clear sound, a good range for bike to bike, easy to set up and use. Slimline unit (not very bulky on helmet which is great) with big buttons makes it easy to use on the move. Haven't used the radio or phone functions yet but really happy with the systems so far. Would highly recommend.
I was a bit skeptical at first of how good this set would perform but it won me over. I fully charged it and did a 6 and a half hour spin and it worked perfectly the whole way with no battery warnings. Music and Sat Nav were on the whole time too. Easy to fit, neat on the helmet and easy to use. Great sound too even when wearing my ear defenders. Highly recommend it.
Thought it might be a good idea to be able to listen to music or the radio on the bike. Can also pair with others and the satnav. Was fairly straightforward to fit, my hjc has holes for the speakers. Have listened to the radio on the go with good sound quality, even in motorway traffic. And it's very small on the side of my helmet, the main reason I bought it
Great piece of kit
Still trying to sort out all the things it can do, but the sound is excellent and it is easy to use the buttons to change volume and music tracks. Yet to use in anger with satnav, but I'm sure it will be fine. Can't comment on the app, because I haven't needed to use it yet. Easy to fit and good value for money. Usual very high level service for Sportsbikeshop!
The sound is a lot crisper
This new 10r has moved on a lot from the SMH10r. The Bluetooth connectivity is loads better being 4.0. The range is better and less breaking up between riders, the sound is lot crisper too. The remote is a little fiddly but it's workable. My only gripe is that the battery doesn't last as long as the old model? We got around 6hrs use on both sets.
No more wires
Just got it up and running and all seems good. Quality of sound is great but having trouble with the radio tuning. Still need to play some more with it. Read a review saying App was easy to use then more reviews say does not work. Time will tell.
Previously owning a pair of Midland BT2, which never really worked very well with an iPhone, we decided it was time to upgrade. The Sena 10R appealed to me as it is the latest Bluetooth 4 technology, and used an iPhone App to alter common settings. Initial results are good. The unit was simple to fit to our Shark Evoline S3 helmets (especially as they have a pocket in the inner shell for the battery to slip into), and was up and running in less than 10 minutes. A good selection of fitting options are included, though all these are adhesive or velcro with no clamp option. Charging is 2-3 hours, and lasts well. Overall construction seems very good, with the exception of the little rubber flap that covers the USB/charging socket which is a bit flimsy and requires care to ensure it is seated properly to make it watertight. We do not use the VOX operation, as we have found this a bit unreliable, and waiting 20 seconds for it to automatically disconnect is a long time, particularly with wind noise generated by an open face lid. Volume needs to be at maximum if wearing ear plugs, and conversation is possible up to about 60mph on my Harley. Over that and wind noise becomes a problem. I have only used the intercom and music function so far, and have no interest in making phone calls whilst riding. These work well, and the music sharing option is very good. Overall a great system, and the price from Sportsbikeshop was the best I could find.
