ARMR Moto Eyoshi Textile Jacket - Black / White
Customer Product Reviews
My first ever purchase of an Armr product, but going by the reviews I was positive it would be the right choice for me. It arrived, as usual, without delay in SportsBikeShop's brilliantly fast delivery service. The difference between this jacket and the Alpinestar touring jacket I normally wear was immediately apparent. The fit, being a Large, was perfect for my 5' 11", 13 stone, 41" chest, 32" waist build. Zipped up, with only a quality cotton tee shirt underneath, the jacket fit snugly, but allowed unrestricted movement without any riding up of the jacket. The armour pads in the shoulders and elbows stayed in position nicely, and the jacket itself has extra 'mini' padded areas roughly 3mm thick) strategically placed over the shoulder joint and mid deltoids, along the line of the collar bone, over the a small region of the upper chest, on the rear where your scapular is, and under your forearm reinforcing the elbow to forearm region. Last of all are the pads extending over the lower lumbar/sacral region of your back, split into three sections. The shoulders are reinforced with a nylon weave material, and all over the jacket you have layer over-lapping layer of material. The inner liner removes easily, using a single zip, as opposed to multiple zips in other jackets - which can be a pain. Two poppers at the end of each inner sleeve connect to the main sleeve of the jacket. What I really do like is that both inner liner and the jacket have the same pockets for your phone. Nice touch. Venting is limited to one over each pec, no big deal. Reflective strips across the back and down by the front pockets are combined with the white flashes of the jacket's design. I have noticed, when riding in this jacket, there are times when it feels suctioned to your chest and arms, but that's not in a negative way, but gives a nice feeling of being wrapped securely in it, and it keeps the wind out very nicely, but I say this during August/September riding, so unsure how it would be if worn during the winter months. I also bought the Armr Moto Neck Wind guard in conjunction with this jacket, and the two, combined, are a great pairing, so long as you have the patience to get the neck guard to sit perfectly when putting on your jacket. All-in-all, this Armr jacket was an excellent purchase, thanks to the other reviewers. Sizing was perfect (for me), the look is street racer and slightly aggressive, so fits perfectly well with my Yamaha XSR900 custom build, and for the price you really cannot go wrong. In all honesty, the photos do not do this jacket justice, and with SBS's excellent returns service, it's no great hardship to order this jacket to experience the quality and fit first hand. An easy five star jacket in my eyes. Many thanks for reading my rambling review. Safe biking, people.
Value for money
Bought for my son, fitted first time, looks good and fits well with same make jeans. He is pleased as punch, no water ingress and warm so far. Toppled off bike this morning with morning ice, no damage to kit or him so I'm pleased too.
My teenage son loves the look and fit of this jacket, I like the protection it gives him and the quality build. He is 6'2" (14 year old) with a 37" chest - went way bigger on size to L, size 44. Fits him like a glove, buy way bigger than measured chest size.
