Customer Product Reviews
Stylish and spacious
This was a present for my partner who wanted a stylish rucksack that was also suitable for the back of a bike. He seems very happy and I was pleased with the price! My criteria was waterproof, laptop friendly, enough straps to make it a secure fit and it ticks all those boxes while still looking like a smart commuter bag and not a sports rucksack.
I've been using a Kriega 15l bag for some years but after melting it on an exhaust I decided I needed something more robust and possibly larger. Good as the Kriega bag is, there's not much space in it. This Knox bag however is huge while still managing to not be cumbersome. It feels really robust but isn't excessively heavy. The straps hold it very comfortably in place so you barely notice it while wearing it. Not used it in serious rain yet but I'm confident that it'll do the job.
I've been motorcycling for sometime but am I still very young and trying out new items all the time to see what works, this been the case with this bag. I wanted something that looked good and at the same was just waterproof, this does it all, I know as I got caught recently going up to Maryport (which is a distance from where I live). It bounced it down for the 3 hours I was riding! I got off the bike dropping wet and the bag was the same on the outside but it was dry as a bone when I lifted the top and unclipped the buckle, all in all very good.
Great bag, great price
I have been researching bags for my cycling commute. Cycling specific ones seemed to have as many cons as pros and then I came across this bag. My main requirements was to find a waterproof bag that looked good if I showed up to a meeting with it. The price of this bag is less than half of others I was looking at but it is fantastic! I use it daily on my commute and have also used it for a weekend away in London where I was moving around a lot. It looks stylish but is comfy even with a weekends worth of stuff in. Highly recommend!
Knox bad at all
After a change of jobs I no longer commute on my motorcycle and have become one of those fair weather types. Now I get the train to work. I was after a rucksack that was around 20-25 litres to use for my train commute as well as on the bike. I had been using a Kreiga 35 for the bike and a 10 year old Samsonite rucksack for the train. When the Samsonite died I didn't really fancy using the Kreiga for the rain, its great for the bike but it is a bit fussy, and the one I have is too big. I considered a Kreiga R20 but knowing how many dangly and sticky out bits are on them there are means it would be a little hindering on a busy London tube, I decided to shop around. This Knox one doesn't look like a bike bag and all the fastenings can be tucked away. It feels very secure and solid, is 'so it's gumpf says' waterproof although I've not tested that. And it's a good size for what I need it for. Construction feels good and it's uncomplicated. I agree that some more compartments would be nice but they are not necessary and might not work very well in a roll bag. And the zips on the side and front pockets are very hard to operate. OK on the tube with pickpockets around but a pain in the butt at the petrol station on a cold day with numb fingers trying to get your wallet out. The waterproof roll bag is non detachable, so if you get a carton of soup empty out you'll have a job cleaning. and it's also black on ten inside, so you might find yourself with the gloves off using touch to find things at the bottom of the bag in the dark. Overall very pleased with the purchase. It cost half of what a comparable sized kreiga would have, looks nicer and won't trip people up or poke anyone's eye out on the train if I decide to leave something unclipped. I certainly won't be getting rid of my kreiga for long journeys on the bike or overnight stays. But for what I got this for, which is daily commuting on the train and the odd trip to the shops are carrying sandwiches etc on a social ride it's perfect, I'm very happy. Great bag.
Brilliant quality, exactly what I needed
The bag feels very high quality, and not too heavy considering. It fits what I need it to fit and is extremely comfortable to wear. The helmet strap is a nice touch. Not tried it in the rain as of yet, but I've got no doubts.
Great value for money rucksack
Comes exactly as described. A well built and sturdy product that does the job when traveling on the bike. The bonus is you don't look like you are going to Everest when you get off the bike for meetings. Side pockets can't fit much in and more compartments would be a bonus for future designs. However a waterproof bag that looks like this for the price is great value for money.
