Customer Product Reviews

Icon alliance got dl18 review
This is my second icon helmet ordered from sportsbikeshop and like the first helmet it arrived well packaged and In good time. The helmet looks amazing but is very noisy so I would recommend using it with earplugs. Drop down sun visor is a really useful feature although it does hit my nose when it comes down which was quite uncomfortable the first time I used it. On the whole it is a very nice helmet for not a lot of money! Would recommend!
Better than expected
Great looking helmet, fitted perfectly, also due to the price I thought it would be rubbish but it try it anyway and it's better than my hjc FG-st. It feels less quality but its lighter, and has really low noise levels when the visor is shut.
Good entry level lid for touring and city use
One of the very affordable lids for touring and city use at this price point, the liner inside is really good and skin friendly, perfect fit for people with skinny cheeks and slightly long face. The dual visor set up is a boon for city commute as well as the highway. I would love to give it a 5 star but the paint schemes on offer are not upto my liking, more subtle colours needed. Hence the 4 stars.
A lot of helmet for the cash
GF bought me this as a gift. Wanted a more visible colour; but didn't want flat white. I'm a loyal HJC customer; However, I'll try other brands. I've got another ICON lid and the fit is similar to the HJC. A bit tighter more snug. Anyway this GT is a winner. About £165. Comes with internal visor etc. Looks decent; visor and sun visor are solid. Fit is very snug; almost too snug to get the lid on /off [it's getting better over the weeks I've worn it- but still very tight to get off my fat heed]. But when it's on it's feel right and I really like the fit. So good, I might keep watching for deals for a second GT. Been using this lid for 2 weeks. Very happy with it. Not expensive. A lot of helmet for the cash.
Starts out real tight
Love the designs, not a fan of the tiny lever for the visor though, feels like it's going to break off, as the mechanism for the visor, just doesn't seems as fluid as other helmets. Air vents work well, not noisy, wish the D locks were updated to the slide through, this is my 6th helmet and first Icon, one of the quietest for sure, the padding inside and structure seems well thought and comfortable But for the price it's a sure winner and I'm very happy with it, have recommended it to others.
