Dainese Tempest D-Dry Short Glove - Black / Yellow Fluo
Customer Product Reviews
As for being in the cold for 30+ minutes at 0-6°C, my finger tips start to get quite cold. Not so uncomfortable that I can't move them, but just begins to hurt. Rain does go through. Within 20 minutes they were damp on the inside and it keeps seeping through, and eventually were dripping wet. Overall ok glove just for dry cold weather, but not for rain.
Great winter gloves for commuting
Light weight, surprisingly comfortable, water proof (very resistant anyway). Minus three C on my commute this morning and my fingers stayed warm and dry and I could still fell the controls. Winter gloves don't get much better then that.
Dianese quality gloves
The gloves arrived promptly, the first days riding would have been a challenge for any pair of gloves. Rain , wind , low temperatures as well as a 45 minute motorway ride. But the Tempest gloves passed the test, I would recommend them.
I had problems with the cut
Although the winter gloves fabric is thicker than the summer gloves, the cut doesn't fit with the smallest finger of my hand. Because of this, it's kind of difficult to press the clutch. I tested the gloves on 6 degrees temperature and I didn't feel the cold. From this point of view I am pleased with the fabric
Dainese tempest d dry short glove
Good glove from Daniese at a decent price not to bulky for a winter glove ,I needed these gloves to pick up a new bike unfortunately let down by Royal Mail but sports bike shop refunded the postage well done sportsbike shop.
I think these gloves are excellent. They were comfortable from the start, close fitting and without the bulk of some others I tried. I cannot comment on how waterproof they are, but have worn them in temperatures as low as 8 degrees and only had a slight chill in the tips of my fingers on my left hand. The knuckle protection is solid, but goes unnoticed. I am happy to recommend these gloves and would buy them again!
Good value short winter gloves
These have the usual Dainese build quality, are comfortable and warm enough down to single figures. The sizing is as per Dainese's usual. As I am not a piano player a lot of gloves are long in the fingers for me but Dainese always fit well. One star off as with most winter gloves the protection is not up to summer glove standards.
Great pair of winter gloves
These are great gloves for Autumn / Winter / Spring. Had to get something for the current winter conditions - temps no higher than 4 degrees Celsius daytime and these are perfect bang for the buck. The gloves fit great and look great whilst still being functional. Thermal liner is really good for keeping wind and cold out around town and good for up to legal speeds, however the cold will get in at sustained motorway speeds after about 15 mins finger tips start to get a bit cold but this is to be expected. Haven't tried in the wet yet but the quality is good and should fair well. A good buy for local commuters and weekend warriors for winter blasts, however if your doing highway commuting on a daily basis then you would need to look beyond these gloves to keep the weather out. Overall a great product for the money. As ever Sportsbikeshop delivered next day and great service.
OK so no glove is going to keep your fingers completely warm. I use these with heated grips and although my hand are not warm at the end of my ride they are not cold either. The build quality is excellent, the touch finger good, the visor wipe a great idea. The colour is lovely with hi viz pops and the inside liner is nice and comfy. The cuff is a good length and they are not very thick which means tactile feel is retained which I love. I use them everyday and will at some point purchase the long cuff version. Fit wise, I am 9cm in palm width. I ordered a M but it was too big and fingers were particularly long. Went down to S and it fits great, can even get my Forcefield windproof under gloves in fine. Sportbikeshop great as always. I buy exclusively from them due to the level of customer service I receive.
Warm fleece lined glove
Warm and waterproof. Integrated visor wipe I found very useful. Hands are kept nice and warm in wet and windy weather. Haven't yet tested in extreme cold or prolonged riding. Based upon the hand measurement guide I ordered a Medium however I exchanged for a Large as felt the Medium was slightly tight. Good flexibility and feel of bike controls which was important factor when purchasing these gloves.
Another great Dainese product
I recently switched from cheaper budget gear to nearly all Dainese. I love their quality and their gear works as described. I've worn these is torrential rain a few times for over 2 hours and my hands were left lovely and dry. The short cuff fits perfectly under my Rain Warrior jacket. Excellent product and for the price it's a no-brainer.
