SENA 10S Bluetooth Headset & Intercom
Customer Product Reviews
Easy to work
Set up is easy but I would advise you have electrical tape handy to stick wires in where you want them to go in the inside of the helmet. Radio is good, phone connection via Bluetooth is excellent and very easy to set up. The slight downfall is the intercom, it doesn't seem to reconnect automatically and has a real problem with more than one intercom in a group. A friend had the 10s also while another had the Sena SMH5 and it would randomly swap between us who was talking to who when we would stop and start again. There is, as far as we can work out, no way to just have a 3 way conversion going on, it can only be between 2 at a time with you having to push the dial to swap to the other person, which is a pain... If anyone out there knows a solution to this please let me know. OK product but if you just want a decent intercom system then there are different (cheaper) options available I'm sure.
Fantastic bit of kit
Excellent but of kit looks smart, Easy to install and comes with lots of installation options, Easy to use, My mates all bought the same device it's that good, It has crisp clear sound, great quality when making phone calls. Cannot wait now till the summer when we are out more and can chat to each other I highly recommend this product
Clear and loud
I use this device in a Scorpion EXO 520 on my BMW 1250RS and my Triumph Street Triple 675 R. On both bikes I wear Sena ear plugs but can still hear all sat nav instructions loud and clear. The controls are simple to use and the battery life is excellent. Unfortunately I have never used the intercom feature so cannot comment on this. My only (minor) negative is that the jog wheel is a little too sensitive for me.
Fantastic and easy to install
Superb and easy to install. Tested in hot and dusty conditions for two weeks and never failed once. Can easily switch between phone and intercom. Works brilliantly with connection to phone to hear phone sat nav instructions. As always great service from sportsbikeshop.
Great Piece of Kit
Instructions not great but sorted it. Played music on the go and taken one phone call, much better than my other Headsets. All the buttons and knobs seem to work, which is good, I can't do fiddly! I bought it on feed back from other users for a trip I'm doing next spring, so I can't give a proper review until I'm blasting down the road trying to communicate with others. The usual great service by SBS.
Very Well made
My first proper motorcycle bluetooth headset, just received a Garmin zumo 595lm so thought I'd treat myself . Radio & Spotify are excellent very impressed. I did initially have a lot of distortion with the Garmin but if you get the volume just right its all good . The Sena remembers the various volume settings you previously used so switching between Radio and Sat nav is simple no need to touch the volume . Excellent service from sportsbikeshop
Amazing piece of kit!
I bought this as my previous eBay effort really wasn't up to the job, lesson learned on my part as you really get what you pay for. I have used this item for the past week around Europe and I have found the functionality and sound to be great on all roads be it motorway down to single track. The track wheel that Sena use is so easy to use and is ideal to swap from music mode, to intercom and to phone calls. I cannot praise this item enough and would highly recommend to any potential buyer!
Great bluetooth set, fits well into the helmet speakers are slim not to bulky inside the helmet, easy to install, doesn't weigh my helmet down. Holds a good radio single, and phone calls are easy to take. My only criticism is that the sound quality when taking a phone call needs a little work as it can be hard to understand what someone is saying at times, but usually easy enough. As always great customer service from SBS, always offering all the help they can including the best prices, quick delivery and the best customer service anywhere
SENA 10S Bluetooth Headset & Intercom
Purchased in order to sync with Rider 550. As per usual, and often overlooked by us motorcycling types...read the instructions. Syncing to the Rider 550, Android phone and the SENA 10S requires a degree of multitasking. Once 'synced' works incredibly well, and would suggest setting the phone, Rider 550, and headset out on table (mug of tea optional) whilst working through the Bluetooth sync setup.
Well I've used it a few times and it did drop out the signal a few times-- the phone is only a foot away and it still couldn't do that all for the bargain price of £170 you have to laugh because it's a joke! that it's so expensive - sorry I really don't think it's worth it... I've give it 4 stars because everyone says it's good but I have yet to be a convert bearing in mind the cost.
First experience with helmet comms on a trip round NC500 route, straight line communication fairly clear up to 55mph between 2 bikes, then wind noise makes it more difficult, through hilly areas and around bends can cut comms briefly then it rejoins automatically even when fairly close, voice activation useful if you aren't setup as always on, getting radio presets setup was a bit clunky but one you have the stations it's good background if you are travelling alone, making calls on the speed dial settings OK as well, would be good to have more than 3 presets, made a big difference to the trip over a few days, generally decent.
