Shark D-Skwal Rakken - Matt Black / Anthracite / Orange
Customer Product Reviews
Well made and classy looking
Bought for my 14yr old son prior to a short tour. XS fits perfectly. Although the same weight as his previous Caberg he said it felt lighter on the move, possibly due to aerodynamic shape. Once bedded in after a few miles he felt it was very comfortable. This particular colour scheme that changes with the light is also very impressive, more purple than pink which is good. Overall a well made, good looking helmet that with a 4 star Sharp rating gives confidence of safety.
Sharp 4* on a budget.
I was searching for a helmet with a pinlock, integrated sun visor and an excellent safety rating. I got a great deal on this helmet as the Skwal 2 is now out. Sizing was perfect and the helmet is very comfortable. The Max Vision Pinlock is amazing. Installing my Cardo Packtalk Bold was also straightforward thanks to Shark designing this helmet with Comms in mind. Ventilation is good. Overall I'm very happy with the helmet and would recommend.
Style and comfort
Looked for ages for a new helmet. Some are boring some too PINK! this one was a bit in between. Its a very comfortable fit, nice and snug. I love the ratchet fastener. No need to panic because I cant get it off. There's not a lot of wind noise but I think it could be a problem for some maybe. I really like the sun visor which is easy to pop up and down .There is also a slot for glasses which is a bonus. Can't really fault this helmet and the price was great too. I feel it is sturdy and safe which really is important after all.9/10 and that's only because I feel it is a little bit noisier than my old one.
Very impressed with this helmet, it is a great fit! I was originally fitted in a shop for an AGV, so took a bit of a gamble ordering the same size in the Shark, but this is true to size and fits snug, the cheek pads do squish your face but think these will easy slightly in time, the sun visor is very easy to use and the pin lock was easy to fit too, only took a matter of minutes. Love the colour of this and have had many comments on how smart this looks, ventilation is good and easy to use with gloves on. Definitely recommend!!
Good quality helmet, competitive price
All aspects feel solid and well made. Ventilation system and sun visor well designed for quick and easy use on the move. I am liking the Fogarty design, with its distinct colours it adds to my visibility on the road.
Quality helmet in feel and looks
Both me and the fiance have this helmet in different colours, find them very comfortable with nice features for the sunvisor and vents. Removable interior is straight forward to remove for intercom fitment, nicely thought out pockets for the speakers to fit into and cut out for the wiring to feed through.
Comfortable, stylish, impressed
Bought for my partner as a replacement. Loves the drop down sun visor and colour, a great improvement to comfort over her old S600. We fitted our intercom unit and there are cutouts for ear speakers in the foam for these and plenty of room for a microphone up front. Very versatile, ergonomic and recommended!
Good lid for the money
Bought this lid after a visit to SBS retail store - the staff there are brilliant there if you get a chance to go in instead of ordering online... The good - reasonable fit, Pinlock insert comes with lid, drop down visor is useful, black/orange colour a good match for my bike (KTM). The not so good - the lid lifts a bit at speed on a naked bike, the drop down visor is starting (after less than a month of wear) to discolour. Overall good value for money.
Good for the price
I done around 200 miles with this helmet. So can share just first impressions. Wwind noise its not bad but its not low. If you use ear plugs or headphones that's makes much better. Not impressed with strap. I more preferred double D. Inner sunvisor - fantastic. Easy to operate and it is dark. Helmet feels light and comfortably. I am between M-L size. So I gamble and get M size and its fit nice. Don't forger Shark helmets are more for oval head type. So if you have chance first try before you buy. I can't give for it 5 stars because of chin strap. I wish it was double D. Right now I do not trust it very much. 4,5 stars P.S. Thank you wife for nice birthday present.
Overall good helmet
This is my second helmet. Overall I've found it to be good. The internal sun visor is now a necessity for me after using it in this helmet and doesn't hit my glasses. The external visor doesn't feel as strong as my last helmet that cost a fraction of the price, however I feel less like I'm in a sort of bubble with this visor down than I did with my previous helmet which is good. The way you remove the visor is a bit tricky as it seems easy to snap the visor whilst removing it. There's no noticeable whistling whilst riding with the visor up or down and I find wind noise isn't too bad, especially with the visor down even at 60+mph although other people may find it a bit noisy at faster speeds. The Pinlock insert works well on the external visor but the internal visor can fog up a bit so it's worth buying some anti fog treatment to stop this happening. Usually I wear a Medium helmet but found a Medium in this too big so went to Small and it fitted well so it may be worth sizing down or trying it before buying it if possible.
