Rev'it Eclipse Textile Jacket - Black
Customer Product Reviews
Rev'it short summer mesh textile jacket
Neither good nor bad. Price is ok but as per usual sizing is a pig. 5'11'' and holding some covid lard. A 2XL fits good in the arms and across the belly and chest but whats with the neck? Wear anything with a collar and it'll be compressing your cartoids until you're Marty Feldman (ask yer dad, yer whippersnapper). Had same issues with my Richa winter jacket. Seems porkers like me are just not catered for. Still it was a godsend in the heat, to be fair. Although I wanted a Knox but couldn't find one anywhere. The Rev'it is a lot cheaper and I'd likely have the same issues. Back to the gym post lockdown. Chin chin.
I absolutely love this jacket!
I bought this jacket from the Leeds store where the staff are really helpful and knowledgeable. I'd seen the jacket on line and was looking for black, until I saw it in blue! The fit is perfect for me and the quality superb. I thought that will be the 'end of summer' now I've bought it but we have had some very hot days since. Lots of airflow and a few days ago the temperature hit 29, but stuck in the very slow York traffic I was fine and the air coming through once on the open road was great. I would say from around 21/22 upwards is perfect for this jacket, given wind chill, but you can layer with it. I put a thin Goretex windproof fleecy cycling jacket underneath and am fine down to say 15 degrees, or put a windproof/ waterproof over the top for inbetween temperatures and rain. It is also good and smart to wear casually off the bike as it is light and not bulky. I really can't recommend it enough and for what you get, it's excellent value for money.
As soon as I tried this jacket on I knew it was quality and looks great very light and comfortable for those hot days riding. You can adjust the jacket at the bottom to make it fit to your shape very very happy and as usual great service and price form the team at sportsbikeshop
Decent breathable jacket
Really pleased with this Revit jacket, and an absolute God-send when the weather gets above 22C. It's pretty subtle style-wise and understated which I quite enjoy. At 6ft4 with a 42inch chest, I'm usually a large in most jackets, but had to go XL for this one.
Well made summer jacket
This is perfect for hot summer days but as it is perforated can be chilly on cooler mornings. looks great and is well made except for catching my watch on the interior of the sleeves where the armour is. I would recommend this jacket for anyone travelling shorter distances and city riding.
Rev'it eclipse summer coat
Great jacket for hot days, great fit well worth the money. Love the casual look , great for times you don't want to look like a power ranger when off the bike. Superb quick delivery from sportsbikeshop as always. My go to shop for bike clothing
Nice and lightweight, ideal summer jacket
The jacket is a comfortable fit and as expected is lightweight. The armour sits in the right place for me. I got the size large and I am 5-9" and 42/42 chest. Quality is as expected for the rev'it range. Zips work without snagging and adjustment helps tighten those area's that may flop around. Overall very happy and look forward to its use on summer days.
Amazing for summer
I usually get XL and this fit perfectly. I sometimes have an issue with sleeves being too short for me, but these are nice and long. Stitching, zips and velcro are all very high quality. The internal pocket and the front pockets are pretty roomy. Amazing ventilation.
Really cool to wear and light weight. It looks well made and stylish. Being a light colour should help keep cool in the sun. The only downside is there isn't exactly compatible trousers. I added the AirWave 3 trousers and they look fine. However they won't zip together and feel somewhat heavier.
very breezy jacket
Flows lots of air but feels robust enough should I have an off. Shoulder and elbow armour is low profile and comfortable. Back protector pocket very snug but holds the protect in place well once fitted. The jacket comes up quite small compared to the the equivalent size in my Oxford jacket.
Perfect summer jacket
Having sweltered in the bin liner that is my winter textile jacket the last 2 summers, it was time to get a warm weather one. This Rev'it Eclipse is superb. Light, comfortable, well armoured and the air flow through it is fantastic once you're moving. Really pleased.
