ABUS Provogue 305
Customer Product Reviews
Small, simple, does the job
Used on CBRXX Super Blackbird and fits perfectly. Not tight on the disc and not slack. You would almost think it was made to measure. Used in conjunction with additional measures for overnight/long term security. Excellent service from SBS as usual.
I have been looking for a disc lock for a while and chose this one mainly for its size and looks. But besides looking good and being just big enough for what they're supposed to do, they also keep the bike safe. Easy to use the key and to put it in place, the only downside could be that by being so small you could forget they're there but hey, that's why we have disc lock reminders.
Simple & effective deterent
Simple to fit, useful pouch to carry it in, small enough to fit in pocket. Selected the red body which is highly visible against matt black of bike. Lock itself is of solid construction and feel confident that it provides enough of a deterrent to the opportune thief. Still rely on additional measures overnight though.
As I have to keep my bike outdoors, I thought a minimal level of protection was required and so I bought the ABUS disc lock. It certainly works as I forgot to take it off yesterday and soon realised as I tried to move the bike into the yard! DOH! Great unit that will at least delay or obstruct a thief but small enough to take with you using the handy tote pouch supplied with it.
Decent wee lock
Good points are that it's small, so fits in the pocket no probs, and feels solid. Downsides are that there is no reminder cable, the plastic cover is a bit fiddly, and some of the paint has chipped off of it after a only one week of use. I use this on my CB500F as the holes in the discs are quite small.
Pocket Sized Lock
After buying my first motorbike as a little run around (CBF 125) and already forking out a lot of money on clothing, insurance etc, I was looking for a small, cheap but effective lock. This is perfect, it comes in its own little pouch and neatly clips onto your disc break. Bascially stopping someone easily wheeling your bike away.
