Oxford Aquatex Waterproof Bike Cover - Camo
Customer Product Reviews
Water resistant/ Not proof
Ideal for what I want but wont satisfy others who want a cheap full water proof cover that has straps etc. You'll need to spend more I'm afraid. Needs more tie points. Front and back would help not just underneath so that the wind just blows it all off and it sits tied in the middle of your bike. The hole for the chain should be on the back and the front for thos who disc lock the front and chain the rear. Sizing L was correct for an MT10 (Now sold).
A bit flimsy
To be perfectly honest I wasn't that impressed, seemed very flimsy but thought I would keep mainly for when touring. It has a pass through hole at the front for a chain. I thought it was a bit on the small side after ordering a bigger size than needed. As usual great service from SBS
I was looking for a bike cover that is compact enough to use as travel cover. This is packs up small enough to do the job. I don't know how heat resistant it is so will be letting the pipes cool down before covering. This seems will made.
I am happy for what I got for £25. I ordered a small size for a CFMOTO 650NK. You can look up size guide on oxford website and decide. It doesn't cover my bike fully, 1/3 of tyres uncovered. but there is no sag in the canvas so good. Maybe later will get a medium one. Had plenty of rainy nights since no big issues. A gentle reminder though, this is not a garage for £25, its a cover.
One strap only
Only one centre strap to stop cover blowing away. One star less for that. Large is to big for CB500F. But it is just the perfect size to roll the bike back and forth so cover can stay under both wheels to stop it blowing away. Also with cover under both wheels there is enough tension to stop cover touching the seat. And stays try. I read if cover is on seat it gets wet.
Medium quality scooter cover
Well made and it fits the scooter very well. The strap underneath and the elasticated edging does a good job of securing the cover in windy conditions. The material is waterproof to start with but being quite thin it does eventually start letting the water in.
Cover is not waterproof as stated here
I bought the Oxford Aquatex as it's a bit cheaper than the pricier covers (which don't last long anyway) and the camo colours made a nice change to the usual dreary black. However, after the first heavy downpour this Summer I noticed the rain had permeated through the material and made the seat wet, where the material rests on the seat. This was not condensation. Now I have to take a small towel outside with me to dry the seat off after heavy rain, which defeats the object of a rain protecting cover doesn't it? I don't know why others here say it's waterproof, because waterproof it most certainly ain't. More of an expensive dust cover than a cheap cover supposedly designed to keep your bike dry in the nasty wet/snowy weather. I'm considering returning it, as I'm disappointed and rather annoyed that it clearly isn't fit for purpose.
So far so good
Haven't used in the rain yet so can't say anything about the waterproofness. Size wise the Large I ordered is a perfect fit for my Honda CB 1300 - something I was concerned about as it's a big bike and I nearly ordered the Extra-Large but happy now I didn't.
