DXR Winter Carbon CE Leather Gloves - Black
Customer Product Reviews
These are better than I heard and hoped for. A little breaking in required but they are unbelievably warm given how thin they are compared to my typically very bulky winter gloves. Great feel for controls and definitely warm enough down to 4c below which I don't ride. Only suitable for going under jacket cuff which I prefer anyway. Super for late autumn through early spring I'd say. Recommended for real value.
Great gloves! I've only had them for a month now. They have not been subjected to a ride more that 30 minutes in heavy rain, however have not leaked yet. The only reason they are not 5 stars is because when you remove the gloves, the inner wants to come out, meaning you need to hold the fingers and wiggle your hand out. However this is expected for the price. The protection and quality for the price is excellent!
Perfect for 40-45 minute commute
Right from the package it just felt amazing. The smell of the leather and the texture and hardness on the knuckle protection was great. These are my first pair of riding gloves (absolute beginner still using learner permit) and I know that these are going to last me for at least the next 5 years. Oh in terms of the performance of the gloves, they have yet to leak on me even during torrential rain. The thermal material is prefect although it still starts to get cold after about 45mins of riding in negative temps. I'm ok with that though. More of the magical material would do the job but that just makes the gloves bulky. There is nothing more irritating than failing to cancel your signal after a turn because of some chunky gloves... All I have to say is just go for it.
Cheap but effective
Glove fit and comfort isn't as good as some other gloves I've owned but then these are relatively budget waterproof leather winter gloves so partly expected! And this is where they excel, they are totally waterproof and seem very warm whilst still seemingly offering reasonably good protection and comfort. They come up slightly smaller than my previous gloves although I'd not really want to go up a size.
Nice gloves, keep my hands nice and warm. I put them straight on for ride home after purchasing to my surprise they was super comfortable not like other gloves I've had that have needed breaking in. The sizing is quite good as I've got shortish fingers. After wearing them for a few weeks(daily commute) the lining doesn't go all messed up making it difficult to put them back on, I'm unsure of how waterproof they are as it's not rained that much.
Have been looking for a new pair of all-round gloves for ages. Happened to be near the SportsBikeShop in Kirton so popped in. Huge range or products and sizes available and really helpful staff. Could have spent a fortune! These gloves are really comfortable to wear and don't make your hands all sweaty, even in warm weather. They're also really good at keeping them warm and dry when it rains. I'm sure they will last for years.
Excellent Value for money
I don't often write reviews but I feel a lot on here are very hit and miss and a lot of detail missed out. I'm a all year all weather rider on a motorbike not a scooter which I feel is important detail at times, now to the gloves. I have given these a 5 star as for the price I don't think you'll get better unless get heated gloves. These are cosy and warm, I found them bulky at first but I'm used to wearing leather waterproof summer gloves all year around usually, so it is quite a difference for me. Maybe not for others. With temperatures outside above 5 degrees I'd say hands hand start to feel clammy as are warm but below that are fine even after half hour ride at a cruising speed of 80mph+ on a chilly day my hands weren't cold and on frosty days they start to feel chilly bear end of journey but heated grips on and were toasty again actually held the heat in somewhat. The gloves very well made and look very smart. The thumb wiper blade is superb and as yet I haven't had them leak in heavy rain. Again for £55 I don't think you could do better for a set of winter gloves for bikes and scooters. Even more ideal for those travelling at lower speeds.
I bought these gloves on-line wondering if they'd be a good fit (XL) they are a perfect fit. Often the thumbs are too long but not on these. They are very well made and don't have any unnecessary styling features...as a result they are nice and slim at the cuff with plenty of adjustment for wearing inside or outside the Jacket sleeve. They are too warm for the weather at the moment...it'll need to be below 5 degrees before they get used in anger. A very reasonably priced product.
