HJC R-PHA 70 Dipol - Black / Fluo Yellow
Customer Product Reviews
Back to biking after a good layoff and was ready to go back to my usual Arai. Tried this HJC on recommendation and can quite honestly say it is fantastic. Nice and light, good features and really quiet. Love the colour and style for my naked bike and the fit is so comfortable. I have a small head for my size and the small fits great. A true HJC convert, am now looking at another for my son!
The fit is great compared to the AGV K3 I had previously. Feels comfortable and quieter than that last lid with good ventilation through the top vent. Drop down sun visor operates easily and is very effective. Only gripe is the screen fogs easily in relatively high temps of 15 degs - noticeably different to the AGV which never fogged at those temps. The difference being I think, how much closer the visor seems to be to your face. Not sure how this will cope when temps are in low single digits but it does come with a pin lock.
What a bargain, Unberlievable Quality
Wow, I normally go for a Shoei lid and often pay £400+ but this little beauty only cost £285 and it ticks all the boxes, the fit is perfect, a tad tight for the first few rides then just seams to mould round your head and becomes very comfortable, the drop down visor is a nice little touch and easy to use and comes in very handy on sunny days when you blast round a bend and the sun hits you direct in the face, overall finish is extremely good, with excellent visibility, I really did not think that this lid would be half as good as my Shoei, oh how wrong I was , its perfect and nearly £200 less, and of course lets not forget the Excellent service again from SBS
HJC R-PHA 70
I brought this helmet in XS it's the first helmet I've brought that actually gives a good snug fit. This shell is an XS where normally it's a packed out medium or small casing. Visibility is excellent with the large visor area. Top air vents bit of a pain as they can get knocked of easily when the helmet is being carried. Still trying to get them right as I keep geeked a chill to the top of my head. Overall very pleased with the helmet.
Already have a RPHA 11 and wanted a more sports touring helmet. This one is excellent. Even with the integral sun visor it's relatively light weight, Slim and sporty, but much better on my z1000SX. Ordered a medium which was a bit tight at the beginning but it's loosened up for a perfect fit now.
Good as Arais I've had
This is my second hjc 70 and find it as good as my other one.sizes are different to my other hjc rpha 11s.xl should be 61/62 but the 70s are 60/61 which makes them more snug but after use they bed in ok. Quality first class and finish just as good as Arais I've had. Definitely an avid hjc user.
I have absolutely fallen in love with this helmet. Great looks, great comfort and nice and light. Only gripe I have with it is the noise isn't as quiet as I would've liked, but its miles better than my previous helmet... No ringing ears after a long ride. Fit is tight around the cheeks, but should get better over time.
This is my third helmet from HJC but I wanted something lighter and easier to put my glasses on. It's a great design, lightweight and it's really quiet and cuts out a lot of wind noise. The sun visor is great and it can be positioned where you want instead of being in a fixed position. It has made putting my glasses on very easy without struggling. The was a bit tight fitting when I first put it on but it soon but soon settled down and it's very comfortable. The vents do a great job like all the HJC's I've had and this helmet does keep you a lot cooler and without sweating a lot. The only downside was the anti mist visor so I bought a Pinlock anti-fog visor which works much better. Overall, it's a brilliant helmet and would highly recommend it.
My first helmet
My first bike helmet, bought for learning to ride on, take tests etc. Has all of the features I was looking for, eqrs, internal visor etc at a great price. £100+ saving on an motorcycle shop where I tried it for sizing. Excellent service from Sportsbikeshop also. Will def be using them again.
Very good with minor flaws
Helmet is very good, silent and fits nicely. However it does tend to fog up even with Pinlock inserted (with the one included in the box, which is not max vision). Ordered max vision Pinlock to see if that will fix the problem. Also field of view is kind of disappointing as in order to do proper life saver I need to turn my head quite a bit. Previous Caberg helmet had much wider fov. Maybe that's why this helmet is quiet - smaller visor means less noise. Apart from that very good helmet. Would recommend it for sure.
Rapid delivery as usual. Plush, comfy fitting. Excellent ventilation. The anti-fog insert is superb. The sun visor is a waste of time in UK climate as it's always fogged up. The strange thing is it squeaks and creaks like an old boat on the slightest movement. Must be the polystyrene moving. Annoying.
I have receive the RPHA-70 Helmet really fast and it's so beautiful in mat colors. The helmet it's very good in my head, size is as describe in chart. HJC helmets always fit better than any other brand in my head. Visor it's easy to handle, the view wearing it it's very good. The air in it when riding it's very good. I like very much the sun visor inside the helmet. It's very helpful when riding all day. Excellent choice and value for money for the quality of that helmet. Will buy another one for my friend shortly. Recommended!
Works with Sena head phones
I had an older HJC IS17 helmet which was still good for most uses. However I wanted to fit a Sena intercom and these have round flat head phones to fit in side the helmet on each side. The older IS17 had no space for these but the RPHA 70 being a touring helmet had a specific space for the head phones. This useful fact is not listed anywhere but my husband bought one of the RPHA 70 helmets and found these below Velcro ear pads.
