Sidi ST Gore-Tex Boots - Black
Customer Product Reviews
Wanted some Sidis twenty plus years ago but they were out of budget. Having just returned to a bike and tried on a bunch of more reasonably priced boots, finally bit the bullet and went for these and glad I did. They look great and don't feel like wellies like some others; the armour looks very safe. Sizing was perhaps tiny bit under; I'm Timberland 10.5s, left foot said 46 right foot 45, so I have the 46s and room for thicker socks if I want. Bike is for sunny days only, but I live in England and I've had wet boots before so Goretex it is; yet to be caught out though. Expensive obviously, but I'll get over that and I'm happy to finally have my Sidis.
Stylist, quality and water proof
The boots are quite a narrow fit and with the protective layers take a while to break in (I was wearing them in the house until they felt more comfortable) only took a couple of times, though the first time was hard. Once done the boots feel great, I like the clamp fasteners over the previous fishing wire turn knob ones. Quality is good and they look great. These are the ST Gore-tex ones and I got them over the standard ones because of the times ive had wet feet.
Great touring boots
First the negative - they're expensive. Right, now that's out of the way these are great boots. Really comfortable and very quick and easy to get on and off. The sizing was spot on. I've used they in a few moderate showers so far and they've been perfect. I've tried them with my leathers (tucked into the boots) and my textiles (over the top of the boots) and both have been comfortable and a good fit.
love my old version of these sidis but didn't love getting wet feet so these are perfect all round. Great fit, although do come up small. (Went a size above my other summer version of these sidi st) Not yet had wet feet, the only part of me to have stayed dry in some torrential rain last weekend. Definitely worth buying.
Fantastic pair of boots. I am a size nine, bought a size nine. They fit like a glove, bought a pair of sidi scrambling boots thirteen years ago. Still have them. I consider sidi to be the best boot makers in the world, no question. The only thing I found is that they squeak, hopefully that will go in time.
Best boots I have ever owned
Straight out the box these boots have been excellent. They're super comfy, I was a little dubious and thought they will take a few months to break them in but no straight away they fit my feet perfect. A lot of other reviews said about ordering the next size up as in if your a size 10 go for an 11, well I am a size 10 and ordered a 10. They're lovely and snug and still room for my feet to grow. The first time I put them on was a faff with the buckle system but now they are adjusted to how I find them comfy there really easy to get on and off and when there on there secure and give very very good ankle support. I haven't tried them yet in rain but from all other reviews I have read I'm not worried about their rain performance. All in al exellent boot pricey yes but defently worth it in the long run
Best boots ever
These boots feel very sold once you pull back the rear protector. It gives you lots of room to slide your foot in. Once all put back the calf adjustment system is great you can get a tailored fit for any size of calf and being Goretex you don't have to worry about the British weather as there 100% water proof.
My first pair of Sidi boots and I'm happy with them after a few rides in harsh highland winter weather. My other brands boots wouldn't last a year, hopefully these will. Well made and comfy. Putting them on and off is easy after getting used to them.
Second pair of Sidi's, as 1st time should have bought these and not ST Air which are fab and cool in the Summer but take in water. These boots are the dogs wot nots, full grain leather, comfortable out of the box and full of protection should you need it. Fastenings are secure and easy to take on and off.
Quality product & service
Boots are excellent but I ordered a size too small. Change policy is really easy and exemplary service was provided from the help desk. New size arrived within days and they are excellent. Just returned from Euro ride and boots are superb. At last a sports boot that is truly waterproof. Excellent.
I originally the SB2 boots, however found them a bit narrow in the toe. Also after comparing design decided it was worth paying another £80 for the ankle brace and clasp closure for the calf. I am usually a size 9.5 -10. And so went for the 45. They are slightly loose in heal, but much more comfortable than SB2. And with bike socks fit great. Sidi quality is great. And I cannot fault SBS great service.
A quality feel
Great boots, ordered a 1/2 size bigger than standard. Perfect fit. The closure system was good, but fidily to use at first. Once set it was really good. Snug comfortable fit with a quality feel. The only drawback was I couldn't fit my jeans over the boot, as the top is bulky where the buckle sits.
