Klim Krios Adventure Helmet - Vanquish Hi-Viz
Customer Product Reviews
Bought as a second winter helmet, the fit is really comfy, headset went in in minutes, seems so much room in the front of it and the overall weight is as said before so light. For a first ride I spent 6 hrs with this on and was so happy I'd bought it. Downside - no sun visor . Upside - pinlock ready visor with insert included, worked a treat.
Klim helmet is the Best Buy on the market
Was a bit sceptical about buying this... simple the best purchase I have made in a long time, the weight of this would make you think you aren't wearing anything. Came with 2 visors which I wasn't expecting, black and clear. I'm definitely converted to this product.
Best decision I've made this year.
Never sure about buying a helmet on reviews only, and without trying first. No worries with the Klim tho, the reviews are spot on, comfortable quiet with good looks. The fact the colours match my Tracer GT is perfect.
What Helmet?, Oh this one I have on!!
This helmet is so light (1380g) which is lower than published, usually the other way around, I find. The only helmet I have worn that doesn't bend my ears back when putting it on. The fit is perfect and to size I would expect to wear. The Pinlock fits really well and is 100% effective, and there is a 'smoke' and 'clear' visor included in the box.
Klim Krios Comfort
After trashing my Arai tourX 4. I was in need of a new helmet. Reviews I read on Klim Krios led to me at least giving it a try. Immediately surprised at how light it is, build quality is good, and I prefer it to the Arai. Comfort wise it is also far more comfortable than the Arai, vision is very good pinlock actually works, on Arai it was hit and miss. Only gripe is the peak, would prefer it to have a bit more adjustment to give shade, but just wear sunglasses or use the tinted visor. Very easy to swap them out. I am normally a medium but all reviews suggest going for a size smaller (same size shell). Overall very happy with purchase and would definitely buy it again
Second carbon helmet I've ever bought.first klim piece of gear I've bought. Couldn't fault it. Great looking helmet. Very comfortable to wear. Very light weight. Comes with tinted visor and anti mist insert. Feels safe as houses on your head. Excellent service from sports bike as usual. If you want a high end adv helmet buy this and you'll not be disappointed.
Light as the breeze
An expensive helmet but feels so light. I hope that the protective qualities are there too. I am a new rider so don't have much experience but when I tried on other helmets I had a feeling of claustrophobia. The extra space in front of mouth and the wide viewing area are very welcome and contribute to the feeling of freedom you feel wearing it. Sportsbikeshop price matched this item for me.
Do I have it on
I already have a Neotec 2 and now I have this one and compared to the Shoei this one feels super-light. It was great on a weekend off road in Wales and for the 500 mile round trip (in the rain) to get there and back. The Shoei will stay the helmet of choice for long, cool weather and winter rides but for weekend and summer blats on the R1200GSA this is certainly the first choice.
Was considering this vs the Arai XD4. The Arai is great but a bit too heavy for my liking. Very impressed with this helmet, made extremely well and is super light! Also love the wide carbon fibre strands, looks great! Only one recommendation - you definitely need to try a size down than manufacture size recommendations. A Large is supposed to fit a 58-59cm head.... I measured at 59 but Large felt like I'd been using it for a year or two... too comfy and maybe a little loose. A Medium fits me way better, and has broken in amazingly!! If you read around, others have said similar things. Ventilation through the chin vent only really serves to direct air to the shield, not to chin area. But that's fine for me, you can just take off the chin curtain for a bit more air. Overall great helmet at a great price! You won't go wrong with this one.
Matt white, super light
I spent quite a while trying on the usual suspects, Arai tour X4, Shoei Hornet AGV, and the Nexx X.D1 (the Carberg ADV helmet smacked me in the chin). Of the lot the Krios was the most comfortable (for my noggin), and over the past two weeks it's proven to be a nice quiet (much quieter than my old Carberg) helmet that doesn't try to rip my neck off at motorway speeds. It keeps the rain out, and the visibility is excellent. That said I do wish it vented slightly better, and had slightly deeper ear pockets for speakers.
Quality of finish is second to none
Ordered this 10mins before cut off time and it did turn up the very next afternoon. The Klim Krios is the lightest helmet I have ever picked up, the quality of finish is second to none. The fit for myself was perfect in all areas straight out of the box with enough padding in all the right places, the no tool required to change the visor is simple to use and you get a clear and smoked visor included (sadly only one Pinlock visor insert). The ventilation is fantastic, can actually feel it working even around the side of my head which is a first for me. It is Sena headset ready although I fitted a different make but the ear piece cutout is in the right place. The helmet is extremely stable even slightly above the national speed limit without the wind catching the peak and causing buffeting, not sure how this is achieved but it certainly works. The helmet being so light is quite noisy in as much as you can hear a lot of external noise, in my case exhaust noise etc, the helmet itself doesn't create wind noise etc and it can only be down to its light weight and excellent ventilation allowing noise into the helmet, wearing of earplugs sorts this out to an acceptable level. To sum the Klim Krios up, its the most perfect fit and finish of any helmet I've ever owned including previous other makes of carbon fibre helmets. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another and highly recommend you try one.
