Really nice looking jacket
So far so good. Really nice looking jacket and great value for the money. Only had it for a couple of weeks so only been used in these cold windy March conditions must say it's been very comfortable and has kept me nice and warm with the two liners in position, my only criticism is the low cut neck which is not ideal on very cold mornings but this was easily solved using a neck warmer. Really looking forward to trying it out in the warmer weather with the two liners removed and utilising the ventilation capability. All in all seems a good versatile jacket for all weather conditions. Really pleased with this purchase. Ordered my normal size (medium) which was spot on for me.
Good all rounder
Great jacket for the price, I use it everyday to travel to and from work. I have been caught in the rain and it has held up really well. Has a handy internal pocket for phones which stays dry. Has zipped pockets which is a massive plus and they seem to be of good quality. Liners can be removed easily. The only gripe I have about the jacket is one of the adjustment poppers on sleeve has already come off after 2 weeks use.
These are brilliant pieces of kit. I owned an earlier model (ventilator 3) and used it for years on many spanish trips in near 40 degree heat, no probs. Also great through our winter with all the layers in. This jacket is as good with a couple of minor upgrades to the build Tip, buy a size up from your normal size
First rate jacket even in 30° keeps you cool when on the move. Good quality has a water proof liner and thermal liner so can use in cooler months. It is CE approved for motor bike and has full armour , level 2 back protector .
Great just great
Brought this for hubby. Such great quality come up small i think but still perfect fit. Its so heavy you just have confidence in the jacket to do whats needed and he love it. For the price amazing jacket and sportbike service 100% will definitely continue to shop sportbikes quality products.
Great all round jacket
This jacket is great, when hot and all layers are out (waterproof and quilted, you get a bit of air con. When slightly colder or raining the waterproof layer gives you a bit of a windbreaker. And has held up superbly in around 30 mins of wet riding. Only had it for the last 2 weeks so no need to use it with the quilted yet but I can only imagine it would be brilliant
Does what it says on the tin!!
Great jacket, sizing was spot on for me compared to my other brand leather jacket. Very warm and wind proof for the winter months. Only gripe was cuff velcro stitching pulled through after the first ride, but Sportsbikeshop service was spot on and item was exchanged under warranty. Also CE certified protection and Pro Series range is apparently covered by 3 years warranty.
The fit is a bit weird, measured myself, figured out I am just under M so got one but it was almost impossible to take a breath so returned it and got an L which is better (great return service). I think it's because of the liners which take a lot of space inside and also the look is a bit weird it looks inflated while on me. Also don't think I'll be using in the summer as it's a bit loose without the liners. Other than that it's a great jacket , wore it with just a shirt in heavy rain and about 5 degrees and wasn't cold or wet at 30mph.
Good for the price
This is a nicely made jacket with a lot of flexibility to cope with different conditions. There are two liners, one waterproof and one thermal, so you can configure it for all seasons. It also zips very easily to the Ventilator 5 textile jeans which I had already. I bought this mainly because of the extreme heat we have had this summer. Without any liners fitted the ventilation is truly excellent. As long as you are moving you get a lovely breeze through the chest and arms, which really helps keep you alert and fresh on a long trip. You'll probably still have a sweaty back because of the built-in back protector (I think that's a small price to pay for safety). I have also tried the waterproof liner and it kept the rain out very well, although I haven't been caught in a downpour yet. I have not had chance to try the thermal liner, but it looks like it should do the job. Not so good for me was the fit. As others have mentioned, I had to go up 2 sizes (normally XL, needed 3XL). As ever, Sportsbikeshop exchanged for free without a quibble. Even at this size I found the arms a little short and the jacket also seems a bit short at the front, although that's probably just a style thing and it didn't cause a problem on the bike. The cuffs are fastened with Velcro, which allows you to go over or under your gloves. Build quality seems very good so far, although I have my doubts about the adjustment poppers on the sleeves - time will tell. Overall this is a bargain jacket when you consider all the features you are getting for the price, including full shoulder and back armour that some other makes charge extra for. I am very happy so far.
First branded jacket
Well as the title says this is the first branded jacket I've purchased since obtaining my licence. The first thing I noticed out of the box was the quality. The material and stitching not only look sturdy and tough but also feel it along with the zips (which have been an issue for me on non branded products). Putting the jacket on for the first time I immediately felt secure, the shoulder, elbow and back protector all fitted in the correct places. While snug, once zipped up, there was still room to move around and I was quickly feeling the benefits of the quilted lining (we were getting temps of 28° that week). The jacket has enough pockets for my needs and they have so far held up well for the things I use them for. The only slight issue with them comes from the two outside waist pockets. The zipper is quite small and with the extra weather protection it can be difficult to find when unzipping. However there is a hole so I'll probably add a piece of cord with affecting the jackets integrity. Internally the linings can be removed and inserted in a selection of combinations based on weather. At present I have it in summer mode, with both of them removed. As this then makes the jacket larger, RST have added elastic adjustment to the arms to help keeps the elbow protection in place. I'm also pleased that RST use a universal zip on the bottom of the jacket, as this has allowed me to use a different pair of their trousers (due to the ventilator 5 trousers not having length options). Using this with a naked and a sports bike has not been an issue so far and would recommend this product to any considering one.
Bought as a hot weather jacket and impressed so far. You can really feel the wind through the body. Should be good for France in August!! Not used waterproof and thermal layers but all looks good. Quality excellent, don't judge by price.
Quality product at an excellent price
To say I'm happy with the quality of this jacket would be an underestimate. However, I usually take an extra large in a jacket but after reading reviews I went 2 sizes bigger and got XXXL which fits perfect. And with the many different ways you can wear it by taking out out the different linings its a jacket that can be worn all year round no matter what the weather.
